I was replying to your reply to the the other two. And facts don't make me angry.
However, the reply to the overdone joke about the French wasn't being an arse, to me.
However, the reply to the overdone joke about the French wasn't being an arse, to me.
It's a joke, it's not supposed to "hurt" anyone. Edit: Also, isn't saying "idiot" to someone flaming?
Stop being just an ass. Also, war is over, bye.
People who make dumb jokes about France and cowardice should be shot as far as i'm concerned as they can't be all that bright, to put it nicely. They have nukes and one of the largest navies in the world, not including the US or Russia.
http://www.wikihow.com/Be-a-Quiet-Person I'm on a roll.
I am a quiet person. :raise: The hell is with people that take jokes way to seriously?
I am a quiet person. :raise: The hell is with people that take jokes way to seriously?
It's used and abused more than most 4chan memes, whatever funny it had died a long time ago.
War isn't over yet. It's just a cease fire. Russia isn't going to let a pro-western country sit on it's borders, that's for sure. Russia wants it's land back, that's already been said though. Russia has warned Ukraine and Georgia before that they want the land back. So it's just really a matter of time. Well when Russia attacks Ukraine(NATO), shit WILL hit the fan, and I'll be ready to kick some Russkie ass.
Russia actually recognizes ethnic minorities with the exception of Chechnya. Islam is freely practiced among certain groups and there is no governmental taboo against them and people can speak their dialect as they want. Georgia on the other hand has been trying to forcibly assimilate these people, and that's not the right way to go. Again, Ossetians and Abkhazians know how Russia is, and if they'd rather be a part of Russia with all the issues Russia has, it gives you an idea of how bad off Georgia is. There's also issues with Georgia giving special privileges including funding to the Orthodox church while ignoring Islam and traditional religions of the area, heavily influenced state-run media, refugees from Ossetia being treated like shit during the 91-93 war and still being treated as such, as well as torture being used by the police. And I'm bringing this up because I'm pointing out that the Western Nations are on friendly terms with these governments not because they are innocent or clean, it's for military purposes. They set bad double standards to the world doing so.
Finally some pro-Russia stuff. I'm sick of only hearing one side of the story. It sounds like Georgia is the victim in most peoples comments, however in that logic Iraq is a victim too. I actually haven't read the news about the war, but I'm going to, and I really hope that Dutch quality papers give a unbiased report.
South Ossetia as a country does not exist. South Ossetia exists in the same way the Basque region of Spain does.
No, it exists, it just isn't recognized. The Basque region in Spain exists like the Republic of North Ossetia in Russia. It isn't fully independent but it makes decisions for itself. Spain still represents the Basque region and the Basque region doesn't have its own military or militia. Autonomous regions are a step below full independence.

There was no reason to invade Iraq. Most of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, but the US didn't invade them.

Although, I it was a terrible decision for us and we have lost billions of dollars, we did do them a bill of good and we took down Saddam Hussein. I think the move was to establish a strong foothold in the middle east rather than helping Iraq. Even though something good came out of it. And we definitely did not go in for oil, even though we will get oil from Iraq later on.
A poor example, Transnistria in Moldova would have been a better one.
Quick question, do you believe the Republic of China exists as a country or it should rightfully belong to the PRC? It is only partially recognized so how much recognition should a country get before it is considered a country?
I actually haven't read the news about the war, but I'm going to, and I really hope that Dutch quality papers give a unbiased report.
Dutch unbiased newspapers? Steer clear of the Volkskrant, they're Georgiophiles. The most neutral news I've seen was in the Metro newspaper.
The fuck would Russia want "their land" back for? They've got enough shit going on in what belongs to them now, they don't need any more of it. I think they have a problem with oil from Azerbaijan being pipelined through Georgia to the Black Sea. This would mean Azeri oil for western Europe, making it less dependent on Russia, which may cause big trouble for Russia's economy. So what do they do? They use South Ossetia as an excuse to trouble Georgia a little while the media is busy with the Olympic Games, hoping to at least delay the construction of the pipeline.

Fuck, this is turning into a geographical dig waving contest. I'm more knowledgeable than the layman in said area, but this is just getting ridiculous. I'm off!

Russia and Georgia fighting is like pitting together two street thugs.
I lol'd hard at this. While listening to The Final Countdown.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7557457.stm Georgia and Russia agree on a truce, does anyone have other sources that confirm this?
I guess this can be called as the first official cyberwar of two countries.

NO WORRY, BORIS DO THE HACKING FOR YOU.
>>NEWS<< 'There is no cease-fire,' says Georgian president For fuck sake, here we go again...
Umm, the Russians began their Rush for Tbilisi 2 hours ago.
Fuck, this is turning into a geographical dig waving contest. I'm more knowledgeable than the layman in said area, but this is just getting ridiculous. I'm off!
You mean dick waving, don't you. Want to know the reason why I have geographical and some political knowledge of that area? I want to take the southern route on the Mongolia charity rally next year, which will take me through exactly those places. So it's pretty much by accident that I know a little about what's going on in and around Georgia.
Now that Russia is pissing in the EU's face, what are we gonna do. No way are we gonna try and broker peace again after what they did today.
Oh well, every century begins with a large-scale war, it had to happen eventually.
