What makes this so funny is them thinking that shutting down Limewire will have an effect on music piracy.
They can shut down whatever they like but it's not going to make the slightest bit of difference other than just piss people off some more.
Keep downloading linux distro's my friends, hopefully the RIAA will eventually collapse or grow some common sense (unlikely).
Buying music is for pussies.
Why should we pay to listen?

because that's how musicians make a living?
Because uTorrent and Bittorrent are a program that hosts and uploads illegal software and music.
According to you, they are going to go after the downloading from your browser too.
Limewire didn't host either smartypants
can't shut torrents down unless you get ISPs to packet-sniff and you arrest everyone
and who is gonna pay all those legal fees?
Who said they want to shut down torrents? It's probably the RIAA's largest revenue stream, suing the users. With this recent decision, they can sue the client developers too and have a shot at winning.

Jaanus, maybe he meant that he doesn't listen to music at all
There's no mention of piracy in his post
This is only a good thing.
The last time I reinstalled Windows XP on someone's computer was because someone who was clearly computer illiterate thought it would be a cool idea to use Limewire to download everything. Even my sister was going to install it to this computer just because her friends did, but I just told it was a bad idea and she didn't do it after all. I would have been pretty pissed off if I had to reinstall everything again because of it.
In fact, I managed to mess up my computer with Limewire when I was a lot more illiterate.

It's pretty obvious what he meant.
Also, Limewire was the first peer to peer thing I used, years ago. When it wasn't as much filled up with viruses.
rip Limewire.
thank god
this will stop all the 12 year olds from destroying their computers
Does anyone even use Limewire anymore?
yes because the program itself is the problem
Yeah, and he tried to pirate a bunch of games and music.
EXE FILES ARE NOT MUSIC!
