The high winds today claimed another victim. My neighbors fence. remarkably my fences remain intact and I am proud of that seeing as even in a light gust i've had to slot them back in.
It was a bit windier where I live but I just power walked through that shit.
2nd and 3rd pictures are from Bridlington, about 15 mins by car from my home (I'm at Uni in Sheffield atm tho) Heard from local news and family that an old man was killed by falling masonry, hence the rubble in the first pics, the wind knocked it off the roof onto him and a parked car. I think another was injured too. Used to go to the amusements a lot there and I was there with my dad about a month ago on that same street. In fact we parked further down the road on the opposite side. Also, little side note irrelevant but īnteresting, one of the pics you can see the sea front on, there was an accident on the log flumes right there just a few years ago. Seems like the whole area is bad luck.
I hope the buildings in Britain are better built to withstand wind than what I've heard about Germany's. Friend of mine was stationed there for a short while and they had to cancel their exercises because the winds were going to get "up to 35MPH" and "it was going to be very dangerous" because their buildings are more designed to handle a lot of snow rather than wind.
Stay safe, friends!
pfffft 120mph that's nothing compared to what we get in America man up pussies
Non-US Flagdog: 0/122 would not joke again
There was really loud thunder in my area a couple hours ago.
Are your roads melting yet? [sp]stay safe, with those kinds of winds I'd just stay indoors if possible, no need to get maimed by a falling tree[/sp]
