Hell yeah, gonna buy me some cheap books off of amazon.com if this becomes reality.
Most import shops here charge £1.50 - 2 for a can of soda (Around $3) I have tried a few different ones, but my favourites that you cant buy normally were fanta grape/strawberry and mountain dew throwback. Dr Pepper is still probably my favourite soft drink overall.
They're intended to make you choose locally made products over foreign products, thus helping your local economy. Kinda pointless these days are the demand for a global market just leads to people paying the tariff and buying overseas anyway
they just hurt consumers (poor people especially) as well as slow down competition
Not all American cars are monstrous gas guzzlers. My car: [t]http://rudolphchevrolet.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/rudolph-chevrolet-sonic-6.jpg[/t]
Newsflash: That's a Korean car which has been badge engineered. It's technically a Daewoo, they just have a branding deal with Chevrolet. And learning is half the battle.
You poor bastard.
Well, it gets great mileage and has been very reliable for the last 15,000 miles, so say what you want. It's a Chevy Sonic, not an Aveo, btw.
I don't care if it's not fuel efficient. I wouldn't give up my car for anything <3 I was going to import her to Ireland for college, but I decided not to stay.
You have my pity.

You poor bastard.
I don't get it, what's wrong with it? Looks like an average car to me.
GIVE ME MY MOTHERFUCKING KINDER SURPRISES. My mom's friend used to send me those things when I was little, they were the shit!
Actually there is still that little law in the US that prohibits the sale of inedible objects in food, so no kinder surprises.
Less import tax for on Valve store purchases? Awesome.

Partially because it's not practical enough.
I don't get it, what's wrong with it? Looks like an average car to me.
It's the embodiment of the "buy and throw away" mentality, except for the car market. Not to mention it sports a sterile & boring driving experience. The resale value of that car is usually as scrap metal, or damn well close to.
Please do it with Australia too. I want Dr. Pepper
I don't like in Australia but I agree with you, Dr. Pepper is delicious, used to have a friend who lived at an American Airbase and he would bring me some every once in a while.
I am an American, and Dr. Pepper tastes like Cough Syrup to me imo.
You have poor taste.
I am an American, and Dr. Pepper tastes like Cough Syrup to me imo.
I once tried Monster Assault, and that literally tasted like cough syrup mixed with pool water.
Yay we can export our jobs to poor, desperate Greeks too!

My car: [t]http://rudolphchevrolet.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/rudolph-chevrolet-sonic-6.jpg[/t]
But the monstrous American gas guzzlers are the best type. Take a look at this 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV: It's 20ft long, weighs 6000lbs, has a 7.5L V8, the seats are softer than the clouds of heaven, and the whole thing floats down the road like a cloud. Plus it gets 10 mpg on a good day.
It's not sold here normally either, I bought it off an import shop, as well. I've tried vanilla coke, cherry sevenup and many other normally-unavailable drinks and Dr. Pepper takes the lead into being the most uninteresting.
Odd, it's sold here normally in Central Europe. Though it's not incredibly popular, probably fourth most popular coke drink? Coke, pepsi and kofola being the top three.
You poor bastard.
why do americans mock small cars, i never undestood that
I am an American, and Dr. Pepper tastes like Cough Syrup to me imo.
I'm almost certain Dr Pepper's flavor combinations had something to do with cough syrup mixtures. Either that or someone tried to dilute cough syrup and started making concoctions to mask the flavor. [editline]13th February 2013[/editline] Eh. I was partially right..
Alderton spent most of his time mixing up medicine for the people of Waco, but in his spare time he liked to serve carbonated drinks at the soda fountain. He liked the way the drug store smelled, with all of the fruit syrup flavor smells mixing together in the air. He decided to to create a drink that tasted like that smell. He kept a journal, and after numerous experiments he finally hit upon a mixture of fruit syrups that he liked.

I am an American, and Dr. Pepper tastes like Cough Syrup to me imo.
and cough syrup is delicious

I have never tasted the chocolate of a kinder egg or unearthed the prizes of one. I hope one day, I will be able to do such a thing.
I have never tasted the chocolate of a kinder egg or unearthed the prizes of one. I hope one day, I will be able to do such a thing.
Well there should be a petition to remove that stupid law to make it happen.
why do americans mock small cars, i never undestood that
The problem here isn't that it's a small car. The problem is that it's a tincan of a itty bitty badge-engineered Korean car where there's been cut so many corners during design & production it's only worth it's weight in scrap metal after the warranty is out. As I've said before, the "buy and throw away" concept, except in car form. Here's a list of decent & small cars: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_hatch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport_compact
why do americans mock small cars, i never undestood that
Because they can't compare to Mr. Lincoln Continental or Mr. Cadillac Eldorado, especially in comfort. You're Lincoln actually weighs 5,264lbs.
