English pricks, english cunts, fuck the english also the best i heard was when people were chanting "I'd rather shag my maw than be a brit" also 3 no voters got bottles thrown at them by a crowd of yes all this was in the space of 5 minutes as i was walking back from work
Lmao what the fuck is wrong with these nationalists
so there we have it. Scotland votes no.
Probably not If Quebec serves as an accurate comparison you guys should buckle in for about 20+ years of constant ridicule and people crackin' wise about scotland though, losing a referendum is like blood in the water for sharks. Maybe Brits are not as conceitedly mean-spirited as Canadians though, we'll have to see :v:
Haha, fat chance.
Lmao what the fuck is wrong with these nationalists
We probably would have seen something similar had yes won
It's incredibly heartening to see Scotland making the right choice.
That's a silly thing to say.... But then again... I'm against Quebec separatism... so I can't really speak.
We probably would have seen something similar had yes won
Nah I've never seen English people have the level of hate for Scottish people that some Scottish people have for the English.
snip
We will gain independence. Toxx me if you want. I have faith in the people of Scotland to do the right thing.
RIP
Haha, fat chance.
I dunno. Nothing really brings Canadians together more than bitching about Quebec.
Well I'm sure all the No voters had a strong opinion about the independence of their country.
I agree, but I'm not sure why that's relevant. I just said that I would rather people with an opinion, not an opinion one way or the other.
Alex Salmond is speaking. "I accept the verdict of the people and I urge all of Scotland to follow suit"
I'm sure Mr Salmond will be finding himself at the bottom of a (ironically named) bottle of Scotch. Still, at least he can enjoy it by himself.
I think he may step down.
Yup, that's over. Time to get back worrying about ISIS and Vladimir.
Maybe he can pull a Parizeau and blame it on money and ethnic votes.
Still gonna bash my F5 key until I see what highlands says just to know http://www.theonion.com/articles/david-cameron-to-scottish-people-ill-kill-myself-i,36941/ also seems like this propaganda propagated by the onion worked
I dunno. Nothing really brings Canadians together more than bitching about Quebec.
The UK seems to like bitching about each other constantly, so it's not a particularly unifying hobby there :v: Not that much different from various parts of the US stereotyping each other.
It looks like Scotland hates freedom. Oh well, you could have joined us Scotland.
Still gonna bash my F5 key until I see what highlands says just to know
Me too because I'm running a competition with my friends where the people who most closely predicted the result, turnout, and final result announcement time each win a Freddo
Me too because I'm running a competition with my friends where the people who most closely predicted the result, turnout, and final result announcement time win a Freddo
Goddamn son, them's some high stakes. Those things go for like 20p these days.
Goddamn son, them's some high stakes. Those things go for like 20p these days.
How else would you appropriately mark such an historic occasion
Goddamn son, them's some high stakes. Those things go for like 20p these days.
20p Freddos? Nice. I need to get my hands on a box of them and make it rain.
Well congrats Scotland you just saved the world millions of dollars. Dont have to replace every map and globe now
should roll through in a rented Bentley blasting god save the queen
Even better, British Grandier's March Can't find the original video this exact tune was taken out of, sorry.
I think I blew it though I put turnout 90%, Yes 47.5/No 52.5, final result at 7.45 No freddo for me
Nah I've never seen English people have the level of hate for Scottish people that some Scottish people have for the English.
eh, well wikipedia may not be the best source for this but I'm not really sure what is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglophobia#Scotland http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Scottish_sentiment#Modern_day Numbers of reported serious incidents seem about the same, at least, albiet reported resentment from english people in scotland is pretty high. The haggis one is just :colbert:
Even though it was a no, I do hope it allows Scotland to gain a bigger voice as a nation over all.
Even though it was a no, I do hope it allows Scotland to gain a bigger voice as a nation over all.
I'm interested in the global effects too, even with a no vote, this might inspire some other movements such as in spain. I mean even if it was a yes vote, scotland is a pretty small country population wise. also I give up on waiting for highland I'm going to bed
Even though it was a no, I do hope it allows Scotland to gain a bigger voice as a nation over all.
Depends how Tory backbenchers behave currently. If Cameron is sensible and able to, he'll keep them in line and at the very least not remove powers from Scotland as they have demanded. I don't think any Scot seriously expects any of the big three parties to deliver on promises for more powers, but they'd likely get pissed if they were taken away.
I bet Murray is shitting himself.
