It won't end up like the troubles, but I am seriously confused as to why they're gonna be allowing a bunch of Orange walks in George Square in the next few days.
attention: if you think that the criminal activity is down to the fact that the no side won, and the no side are soley responsible for this activity, you are actually delusional
a majority of people, unrelated to either side, came and caused havoc for the sake of it. see : london riots.

They have stolen headlines off the vote result and turned it into something 99% of Scotland will agree is ignorant, childish and disgusting. As much as I'm devastated that No won, I feel sorry for those that voted no that wanted to genuinely celebrate tonight. Call me bias, but I believe if Yes had won, there would be 10x the amount of people and 100000x the amount of brain cells to have a peaceful celebration (can't rule out the minority burning a flag or two). Yes, a celebration, not a fucking excuse to cause trouble. Pathetic, shameful delinquents.
See these posts. I honestly thought we might see some fallout from the referendum, but I'm glad its only been the one incident in Glasgow and not even close to the scale of the 2011 rioting.
isn't scotland getting like tons more autonomy though (assuming westminister keeps their promise), doesn't seem like there's not going to be change, its just too early to tell though

Their assailants didn't "cause havoc for the sake of it", use your brain.

A small group of skinhead yobs from Glasgow acting violently who happen to be pro-union are not representative of the no supporters, otherwise you're saying 55% of Scotland are like them. Just because people voted no doesn't mean they hate Scotland. You can be a proud Scotsman and be British. Lets not forget this post. So the news is "bias" unless it explicitly supports the independence campaign?

Say what you will about whoever's worse, or what group has the most discourteous and violent individuals, there's enough evidence to cut both ways. Which just indicates the animosity that's still ongoing within mainstream news. [editline]21st September 2014[/editline]
You do realize the image you posted doesn't support you, right?
Actually read more thoroughly?
Actually read more thoroughly?
"Fighting broke out and a Union Jack was set alight..." "A small group of skinheads were booed and chased out of Georgia Square..." "A roar of 'Freedom' and 'Brits out' from Yes campaigners as punches were thrown." "Hundreds of Yes supporters goaded the Union supporters, who were surrounded by about 30 police officers for their own protection." You're right, a thorough reading really did clarify things.
Almost half of the Scots voted "Yes". If it did turn out to be a Yes result, Scotland would soon become bankrupt as the major businesses in Scotland would have to move down to England because they wouldn't be able to thrive enough, that and not to mention that apparently Alex Salmond didn't know which currency the Scots would use if they become independent :v: Good thing it's a "No" in the end.

Good research you did there.
Yeah but the trading and investment would happen in England so only England gets the tax money from it. Scotland would only have branches of the English banks.

As they said jobs/etc aren't affected, their registered office would be the only thing changing. Where the economic activity happened, would not.

The tax from English only economic activity is far more than Scotland and we feel the benefits of that with net flow of tax money into Scotland.

I don't think that's right. I'm fairly sure the fiscal deficit difference between Scotland and England (when taking all identifiable incomes and expenditures into account) is less than 0.1% - and that's with our "£1200/head" extra taken into account.
22% of the UK's GDP come London, more GDP than the economies of Belgium, Sweden, and Switzerland. Do you think that all stays within London and England, so 12% of the population get 22% of the GDP?

Woop, Scotland's public spending is getting cut. The joys of being ruled by another cuntry.
