I'm hoping that Scotland gets what it wants, but I can't help but feel that they're going to be hurting themselves quite a lot if they end up going independent. What worries me most is how the guys at the front of the independent campaign haven't even fully laid out their plans for success/not leaving Scotland a crippled economically unstable place. While England does end up suffering from Scotland's independence, Scotland itself practically burns alive in comparison.

Canada is a federal state and the provinces have a much larger degree of fiscal and political autonomy than the countries of the UK, even after devolution is factored in.
