So you're agreeing that it's unstable? Thanks for driving my point home bro
You really think my house would get broken into when I live in the middle of nowhere? Also notice the graph, the value seems to go up in summer because more people use bitcoins, so really I could just use that to my advantage and simply stock up and sell them all in the summer months for huge profit.

The USD didn't go through a nasty inflation ever, nope. The USD is so stable, yep.

Once again, you're proving to be quite the troll. All you do is tell me I'm wrong but you never say how. I think if I need investment advice I'll go to my grandpa, who has millions due to investments in GE, Exxon, and IBM to name a few.....

What is http://www.theglobalfczone.com ?
Why kids, it's a fullblown conspiracy website! Our friend here has jumped the wagon from being pulled into a ponzi scheme to believing the world is flat! Tell me, son, go to your grandfather. Ask him about the coming financial meltdown of the world which involves "deindustrialization" "financial imperialism" and a "New world order"

Stop it, you two. You're killing me.
Is it really that hard to accept you're burning money with a blatantly insecure Ponzi scheme? You buy this 30,000 dollar rig and this baby'll pay itself in no time! It says so on the website!
Something Awful loves tearing ButtCoins a new asshole (dohohoh), you guys should really check out their BitCoins thread.

Oh, sorry buddy that's just what google images linked me too. Why are you at my fucking throat so much? Go stand outside, you feel that? It's the sun hitting your clammy pale skin.
Here's a graph with a better source buddy bro man [sp]hint: I'm being sarcastic you're not my buddy[/sp].

And just because you're going to fucking whine and cry about that ones source, here's another that say the exact same thing.

If your only point was that bitcoin was unstable, then you're welcome, bro. Although you only managed to prove something that we all already know.

I dunno what you're trying to prove at this point. A dollar 200 years ago is worth a lot more than a dollar now? Yeah the money supply expanded. Protip: 340 million people in the US now. Not 20.
I also hear we're a really popular currency on the international stage, but you know that doesn't mean anything.

My point is that no currency is truly 'stable' and really they all take dips and dives at some point.
I really like how you jumped down my throat and assumed I'm a conspiracy nut for pulling something off of google images.

What
That is-
That is a mark of stability. Not wild jumps. Natural movement.
Jesus christ are you trolling
Do you know anything about economics
Be serious with me for a sec - How much economics do you know? Is it formal training? Did you check the sources of your financial information, unlike your failure on the last page?

I just graduated highschool, I've taken one econ class and that was a year ago. I realize what natural inflation is, but you're saying you predicted the housing bubble in 2008?
I would say 80% of the posts I make I'm under the influence. Because that's the only time I really browse face punch, so sorry these "srz inteellectual; debateezz" aren't really my sort of thing, unlike you Mr. 9,000 fucking posts. I generally steer clear of these dumbass debates that go nowhere in SH, but my grandfather has talked to me about investing and honestly stocks right now are still doing bad, the only investment he could recommend me doing is a long term annuity, because anything tied to the stocks are unstable.

Basically, though we're arguing with a pothead who just came out of highschool
Please listen to your grandfather
I can't fathom how some of you just sit on SH all day looking for someone to post something even a little off key, just so you can all jump down their throats and 'prove them wrong'

I can't fathom how you made it through any economics course but that doesn't make you an idiot.
No, trying to invest 30 grand into a computer to mine bitcoins does
I'm not really even arguing, I just said I fucking hate these debates.

I actually did really well, I was one of the best in my class. I smoke too much weed to remember that shit though.
Well that about does it. Remember kids, don't try to defend stupid shit and then try to cop out saying you were baaaaaaked.
I wish Facepunch would accept BitCoins; then I could buy you a title.

I'm not high right now, you know why my post count is in the 500s? Because I don't care for these petty debates. You're practically beating off at the thought of me logging off my internet because I don't want to internet fight with any of you.
I don't care much for what most of you on SH have to say. I'm going to invest in bitcoin mining and prove you all wrong, even if I don't get a loan I've still got $5,000 of my mom's life insurance fund to mess with.
then I could buy you a title.
Please do, I've wanted one for a while
JakeDog... The man who used the money he got from his dead mother on bitcoins, just graduated high school and took one class of econ but argues like he knows all about currency and is trying to get out of that by saying "oh I smoked weed its ok!", also hates debates but seems to really enjoy this one. Oh, and he most likely will spend 30,000 dollars if he can on a rig he knows nothing about for pixels.
now I bet he'll act all "Lol happy it's ok guys" as if everyone here are actually his friends and all humorous and funny.
Stay classy FP
I could buy the worlds best gaming rig for 1700$-2000$
how the hell can a computer even cost 30,000$ that literally makes zero sense
yeah sure, for a hospital or military yeah... but mining pixels?

That's because they're not regular computers at all. They're boxes of very specialized chips and custom-built CPUs that are very optimized for executing the instructions bitcoin mining requires. Pixels have nothing to do with it, these things don't even have graphics capabilities and can't be hooked up to monitors. Designing your own CPU is expensive (surprise.) The 30k rig, if it produced with the currently reported specifications, has the mining power of over 1,200 AMD 7970 GPUs.
Why are you guys even arguing with him. Let him spend 30k, it'll be funny.
Jake doesn't B-MO mine bitcoins?

Jakedog: The Movie
"The most inspirational movie of the year"
-Morgan Freeman
Jakedog is a pot-smoking high school grad who took an econ class. Now, with the help of his grandfather and his deceased mother's money, he is ready to become the wealthiest Air Force personnel in the world. From executive producer Whuthuh Fawk, comes the incredible true story of one man, a 30,000 debt, and an apparently high-tech computer that had no specifications but could still save him from it all.
[sp]I think the ending should be a sort of plot twist, after he earns his millions it fades into reality and he's homeless still smoking his joint[/sp]
All we need now is funding

Jakedog, if you can take anything out of this thread, please let it be investing $30 000 at your age and going into debt to do so is not the smartest idea. Let what money you have collect interest in a bank.
Please

Wow, someone who can make a point without being a cunt!
Yeah, jokes aside this sounds extremely stupid from our end. We're insulting you to try and help you. We're not the financial advisers you deserved but we're the ones you need. And so, we'll mock you. Because you can take it. Because we're not trolls or grievances. We're advising accountants, watchful protectors - Dark Knights
