You know what would be cooler though? A T-Rex Skeleton Piece
A Robotic T-Rex Skeleton Piece
wow that's dumb at least the thimble doesn't fall over like the damn dog always does
didn't this already happen a few years ago? or a similar contest?
last one replaced the iron with a steam engine IIRC.
No joke, I've only ever seen a thimble once, and that was because my grandmother worked a desk job. I still don't really know what it's for.
IIRC its for protecting your finger while sewing
Well shit. Guess I won't be able to rock the thimble and top hat loadout anymore. Or the thimble and top hat driving a car. Fuck my life.
Hashtags, emojis and even a rubber duck may replace dogs, cats and hats in an upcoming version.
fucking blasphemous if the top hat, cannon, or boat get replaced i will riot [editline]fuck[/editline] wait when did the cannon get retired what the fuck what rock have i been under
Makes sense. Kids today aren't likely to recognize what a thimble is, other than the things in the little miniature display racks at grandma's house.
Plenty of kids have moms that like to sew, what person who sews doesn't have a thimble?
Plenty of kids have moms that like to sew, what person who sews doesn't have a thimble?
Dunno about Kazakhstan (Assuming you are using an American VPN) but where I live the only people who sew are either 60+ years old or are just quirky. [editline]17th February 2017[/editline]
Hashtags, emojis and even a rubber duck may replace dogs, cats and hats in an upcoming version.
Gonna buy a shitload of Monopoly boards before they ruin it and then sell them on ebay
Trump [SP]Joking[/SP]
Trump would make an executive order against it, because then it would mean he would have to lose sometimes. I would probably guess the thimble got selected because most people sadly don't know what one is. I had to stop using voice to text just to type it because it simply was not recognized.
I always just use a space marine anyway.
Funny, I always used an ork. PARK PLACE BELONGZ TO DA DEFF SKULLZ, ANY GIT WOT WANTZ TA PASS HAS TA PAY A 'UNDRID TEEF!
I always just use a space marine anyway.
Our family use my 40k models after one of our little cousins was playing with and lost the pieces
didn't this already happen a few years ago? or a similar contest?
Super late response but there was a similar contest a few years ago, except it was about replacing the iron not the thimble.
fucking blasphemous if the top hat, cannon, or boat get replaced i will riot [editline]fuck[/editline] wait when did the cannon get retired what the fuck what rock have i been under
That just says an upcoming version, rather than full replacement. They do various versions of monopoly other than the classic, there must be like 50,000 different types.
Hopefully they just replace it with another car. Everyone wants to be the car. No joke, I've only ever seen a thimble once, and that was because my grandmother worked a desk job. I still don't really know what it's for.
Your grandmother probably lost the tip of her finger in a freak parallel universe gate accident and put a thimble on it to hide her deformity. I mean I'm pretty sure that's what thimbles are commonly used for.

I mean I'm pretty sure that's what thimbles are commonly used for.
In case anyone doesn't know: A thimble is used to protect the tip of the finger during the process of sewing (primarily when working with machines in industrial settings and by amateurs). The thimble is worn on the index finger when guiding the fabric, allowing one to stitch complex patterns without fear of the tip of the finger being sewn to the fabric during the process. Mechanical sewing machines advance the fabric at a fixed rate, so one must constantly be working within a limited time-frame when turning the cloth and it can be quite easy to find your finger being 'pulled' into the path of the needle when starting out. It's better to break a needle than to have four holes punched completely through your finger, with coarse thread binding it tightly to fabric. Think of it as the steel-toed boot or hardhat of the textile industry.
well shit how am i supposed to protect my finger from paper cuts while handling all my money
A hackney cab could be a good piece
All the cool kids make their own game pieces.
Dunno about Kazakhstan (Assuming you are using an American VPN) but where I live the only people who sew are either 60+ years old or are just quirky.
Dude, learning to sew is an important skill. I'd place sewing up there with like, learning how to make fire without a lighter or firestarter as one of the important survival skills everyone should know. Learning how to repair clothes, affix tarps, and even mend wounds all with one skill is surprisingly powerful.
Why not replace it with a tiny little flip phone?
Or replace it with the save icon!
Well at least my precious wrinkle iron is here to stay

How about instead of replacing the pieces they replace the rules so the game is actually fun?
Get fucked metaslave Should've learned to climb the Monopoly ranked ladder with something else than broken FOTM pieces like Thimble
lol l2p I bet you main op hat
