I bet they won't run out of stars for their shows when they put a lot of people on death-row in China.
Didn't know what to expect from title, first thing that popped up on my mind was "The Condemned" though this is really damn sad
wow. this is so awful. it's so bad the article almost sounds like a parody, in a way.
Also the host is despicable. She thinks they deserve to die and often call them bad things before they die, like here; That is translated accurately.
Talk about losing hope on people on deathrow.
This reminds of the episode "Dead Man Sliding" from the TV show "Sliders". Unfortunately I could not find a pic. Anyway on that particular episode criminals are placed into a game show where the contestants decide if they live or die.
See, if it were something like the Running Man from the book, I could almost understand why people would watch it. But this is just verbal abuse followed by death, plain and simple. Are the citizens of China really so jaded and apathetic as to enjoy that? If so, China is in a really, really fucked up situation.
I want to see this. [editline]4th March 2012[/editline]
Are the citizens of China really so jaded and apathetic as to enjoy that?
um no, it's human nature. Ever wonder why there's always a huge crowd around fights? People love seeing that shit.
It's not even only humans, either.

It just doesn't look like she's saying that. Looks more like Chinese propaganda.
And then criminality in China rises, because people will want to be on the TV.
um no, it's human nature. Ever wonder why there's always a huge crowd around fights? People love seeing that shit.
Hence they enjoy a fight more than they hate to see someone hurt. That's not a particularly good direction to be steering in.

I had to actually check that the source didn't lead to The Onion.

Heartless bitch.
Hey look it's going to be shown on BBC2 http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/proginfo/2012/11/interviews-execution.html Well it's more of a documentary on the show. Will be very interesting.
The Chinese government is upset about the BBC documentary that plans to show scenes from Ding's interviews. They fear that airing the show in the West may lead to further accusations of human rights abuses against China.
gee I wonder why
gee I wonder why
hmm. if China don't want us to tell people about their human rights abuses, perhaps they should stop committing human rights abuses??? sounds like a plan
She said this to the man begging to see his daughter before he dies. Heartless bitch.
Nope, she says that to the grinning, confidently looking guy that follows after that scene. In the scenes before she wears different clothes.
Sounds very familiar.. Oh ya George Carlin: (starts at around the 2:07 min mark) China actually made it happen.. :S
YOU STEAR TO FEED STALVING FAMIRY? DING DONG BLAMMU! Jokes aside, that show's in even worse taste than my joke.
"guilty of extremely violent crimes" "woman who stabbed her husband to death after having been abused for years by the man" ok then
If this wasn't in china, I'd watch it The thing is, the Chinese government falsely executes people all the time.
I'm still waiting on someone doing a real Battle Royale.
This is brilliant

She does stuff like this and then tries to get you to feel bad for her by crying and saying that her heart is filled with so much garbage after doing this terrible job, that she chooses to do.
This was in the simpsons :v:
Now, who called the Running Man unrealistic?
I would watch that.
Making money off of people's deaths. Woohoo...
Death Race and Rollerball, I think.
Death Race and Rollerball, I think.
Why are you comparing fiction to real-life monetized execution?
