China's new hit TV-show: Reality TV with criminals on death row

Reminds me a bit of The Green Mile for some reason.
As long as they consent to it, I don't see why not... I still have that tingling sensation of "it's wrong" though.
Should have made it gladiator instead where the winner gets to live another day.
But really this is horrible.
Ofcourse her name was "Ding" in german "Ding" means "Thing" she's a thing. Joking aside, I think it's kind of wrong and I can't trust that quote. Also how she tries to make people feeling sad for her is pathetic, the prisoners have the sad execution and not her.

Soon we will see china making Battle Royal on an island with 25 serial killers. That movie was bomb.
i'd probably watch this, but the second i see one of them start to cry then i'd be done with it

Ahahaha oh you Germans are so naturally funny, German humor is the best.
People on death row get interviewed all the time, its nothing new. If the prisoners want a last interview to be share with the public then why not?

But stuff with the parents involved makes me uneasy about this. I dont know.
Also theres been quite of documents about deathrow inmates like tons of times
So those reality shows that got cancelled by Chinese government media authorities for being too crass and popular get replaced by this?!
If they agree with being "interviewed" before dieing then it's okay i guess.
But damn that host seems horrid.
That's just sickening.
What the hell is this reaction. Nobody isn't forcing them to give interviews. I think this is 100x better than bullshit such as big brother or idols. They actually give the criminals a change to apologize and a key point behind the show is to question the ethics of death punishment. People see that all criminals aren't just heartless bastards.
China has the death penalty for possession of weed
lmao

I though of something along the lines of "Running man".
this is both and wrong, opinions against opinions, no way this will end good
Imagine building an arena of sorts, and letting deathrow criminals play airsoft games with real weaponry.
It'd be the best fucking show.
Execution at 7, all net, all channels.
What's with all the complaining, did you expect better from China?
This is brilliant and I support it 100%.
On another note, the death sentence should be the normal sentence for all capital criminals, IMO. The crime rate would go way down.

Woops. Looks like you have no idea what you're talking about.
Why make a show about executions? That's messed up, and killing people for tax evasions? I can understand killing major drug traffickers and murderers, but killing people for evading taxes is fucked up.

Also petty thievery and marijuana possession can lead to a life sentence, which can be extended to the death penalty.
Basically everything with vague disestablishmentarian vibes is grounds to get yourself executed in China.
Doesn't America do this all of the time? Don't they have some Big Brother/Paradise Hotel/Documentary hybrid that follows prisoners of varying penalty?
One of those are on death row, but the spin is that you're obviously meant to think that death row is a bad thing... which it objectively is.
