Prop 8 Striked down in california, allowing gay marriage

To the people bitching about the majority's vote being discounted: African American citizens were a minority. We had to rely on the court system for them to get rights. See where I'm going with this?
Also it's about time this fucking happens. Seriously though, white christian nutcases are probably going to do everything they can to shut out gay marriage from other states until this gets to the supreme court.
Quick, where's the alarmist Fox News story to correspond with this?

What the fuck is the big deal? Besides being documented as a family marriage has nothing other beneficial besides ties with insurance and such. Gays just date in most countries. As much of a bigot as I sound right now, I would like marriage to be kept between a man and woman simply because it feels right, When I think of one guy in a tuxedo and another in a wedding dress it just doesn't fit. I'm not homophobic but it just doesn't seem.. ethical.
Oh wait, let's have a society where everything is chaos because nobody can decide on anything because it makes a small group of people feel left out.

Yes, considering the people voted to reject them marring.
It's called legal equality, and legal equality is out of the question on whether the majority supports it or not - it's a basic pillar of a democracy.
Roberts and his Republican lackeys on the Supreme Court will rule in favor of the ban whenever it finally gets there.

Your post is so full of blind homophobia and misinformation that I am not going to even bother formulating a reply.

And denying someone something most people take for granted is ethical?
I didn't think this news could possibly cause a shitstorm on FP.
Then morons like Tetracycline and >VLN< had to prove me wrong.

Either you give everyone the same rights, or don't give the rights whatsoever.
If you want to keep marriage all "pure" and exclusive and just how you think it should be catered only to you, then why don't you focus more on making marriages mean anything any more. It is too often that several month until divorce marriages happen.

That's up the couple marrying to implant a meaning to their partnership...
I hope this happens everywhere, actually.
you are very misguided.
I think you misread my post?

I don't understand why my posts on the first page have dumbs, I think literally everyone misunderstood my opinion on this.

What isn't ethical about equal rights? And fyi they'd both be wearing Tuxedos in most scenarios. There's a difference between a Christian Wedding and a legal marriage.

You are complaining that the courts overturned an unconstitutional act just because it violated the majority vote. If the vote was for the slaughter of a minority and it passed by a handful of voters would it be fair to be able to do nothing about it and just let people kill them?

I have to say, the way you worded your posts is incredibly stupid if you are against prop 8.
Ok then. Let's have a government where nothing is decided on. It's impossible to get everybody happy. So in a logical sense we pick the majority. What the fuck do you want to do?
What the fuck, man, do you even know how the United States works?
We're suppose to base our legislation off the Constitution and framers intent and shit like that, goddamn man, you dumb.
Don't thank him, he's the reason Prop 8 even exists.
Really because I would place the blame on the people who voted in favor for it in the first place.
