Sweet, this version takes place in the matrix apparently
more slo-mo than ever!

huh
looks terrible as always.
Yes Activision, just continue to milk a dead cow. Maybe people will realize it's not producing anymore milk?
I don't see why any news sources even bother posting any Call of Duty related news here. Everyone just blindly hates it.
:irony: You are also the person who was blindly hating Portal 2. Nice going there, bud.
According to several online dictionaries and translators, "побежденный" translates into "defeated", which is probably what it really said.
Because "Уничтожить вражескую надежду на побежденный" is even worse. Russian syntax would cry over it with bloody tears.
They both sound pretty similar.
That's because you're not a native Russian speaker. You would differ if there's a word in your native language spelled wrong, or just gone all wrong from the first sound to last one. It's automated process of our mind to differ neologism from occasional or error'd words.
Because "Уничтожить вражескую надежду на побежденный" is even worse. Russian syntax would cry over it with bloody tears.
Yeah, the russian in the latest CoDs is overall just bad. I remember when in some mission in MW2, the generic chatter between guards made no goddamn sense and didn't even reflect what's happening at all. Like, a guy would be like "alright guys, I gotta go do something now" and then he just continues standing there for a bit and then starts talking about something completely different again.
So, is still treyarch making this? ehh
oh my, it isn't. great!
death to the russians yay
Oh, What a suprise. America VS Russia. Sounds very familiar.
Its a continuation of MW2 what did you expect.
How extraordinarily exciting.

I'm sorry for the possible fanboyism but THIS is what I call a good teaser:

i would've called it a good teaser if they only included the first 19 seconds tbh
everything else is really quite "meh"
Like no effort at all to these teasers and even the logo.
Battlefield 3 teasers gave me chills and was not just them bragging about every location they're gonna let us have a 10 minute level on.

I love when someone labels everyone's opinions as being 'blind' as if it's impossible for a lot of people to not like something 'legitimately'.
The main reason why most people don't like any Call of Duty announcements is because Activision has milked the shit out of the franchise at this point and each new game has just turned out to be a mediocre repeat of the last one's gameplay with, at least to me, uninteresting plots. The part that makes everyone get really bothered is how extremely well they keep selling based on their name alone. I won't call the people who pre-order this 'blind', though, since a lot of them may just actually want more of the same and I'm not a bigot who can't see the other side of the opinion spectrum.
It also doesn't help that Infinity Ward, arguably the best Call of Duty developer, is all but dead since they lost a majority of their good people. The remainder can barely even be called Infinity Ward. Call of Duty has become an annual title that's started on the downhill slope that other over-milked Activision properties (*cough*Guitar Hero*cough*) fall into after a certain period of time; it'll be milked and repeated over and over until the gaming community finally gets tired of the repeated gameplay and Activision does its usual bullshit involving shutting down studios and firing tons of people just because Call of Duty stopped selling. It's for this reason a lot of people regard them as 'evil'; they 'kill' franchises and leave hundreds without jobs at the end of every cycle. It's terrible.
I don't know about you guys but I am excited for this. MW2 was my type of game, with very hectic gameplay(even though often frustrating). I thought Black Ops was terrible in comparison.
Why is it always New York.
Also, I like how everyone is on the CoD hate bandwagon..2 years ago it would've been Halo. :v:
honestly mw2's campaign was fan-fucking-tastic for an action movie and I'll try to get mw3 at a discount just for the story
I don't get why everyone on facepunch hates the cod series, most posts I see crying about it is just a variation of "they're released, like, once a year", like that's a valid reason
[editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
I'm not denying that it's being milked until it's raw and bleeding all over the place and into the milk but individually I've liked all of Infinity Ward's cod games
I found MW2 fun. MW3 probably, good to play with friends.

RPS is trying hard to be funny.
Looks r3ally stupid.
I'd like to put it out there that I did enjoy Black Ops significantly more than I hated MW2

I agree, but it still had the base flaws of CoD.
Black Ops certainly took a step in the right direction in trying to change the formula a bit, but it wasn't a big enough step.
I felt that MW2 is more fun than Black Ops. I played MW2 longer than I did with Black Ops.
I'm pretty stoked to shoot up the jubilee line
Black Ops fixed a lot of the flaws that MW2 had, but a few of those fixes weren't exactly the best way of doing it.
Also, kiddies and their quickscope. Jesus Christ.
Hey, look, an original plot where you need to save the world from rockets.
Hey, look, an original plot where you need to save the world from rockets.
cod has some fucking dramatic scenes though
like the night-time raid, getting your helicopter shot down, gunning with an AC-130, having a nuke kill you, sneaking through chernobyl, lighting up an airport full of civilians, stepping out of the bunker to the sight of Washington DC being war-torn, the nuke-emp going off, the bridge almost collapsing, getting betrayed, throwing a knife into a guy's eye, a different guy getting stabbed in the eye, flying a blackhawk, the insanity sequence, etc.
I also liked the plots of mw2 and blops but blops played like shit
The only reason this worked for BF3 is because it's been so long since BF2 and it actually revealed some of the features that are going to be in the game.
