You know you fucked up when only 5% of the ratings are 'Thumbs Up'. Even Origin promotion videos tend to do better than that.
What if they will suddenly reveal that there is actually a PC game The Fall. I hope, and doubt, but hope.
Jesus christ, I'd have preferred it being a Wii U exclusive now.
Fuck. Oh well, maybe one day. But I gotta say they don't seem to think things through. The April's fool, Director's cut WiiU exclusive and now this.
They could be waiting for E3 to reveal an actual new AAA Deus Ex.
Ugh; and here I thought we were getting an actual new game. This just seems like an expandalone that you play on a tablet. Then again it looks more of less the same, but the sheer notion of a hardcore PC franchise being put onto iOS devices just doesn't sit right with me, especially when we expected something a bit more advanced that furthered the franchise. I honestly hope they're still working on an actual Deus Ex title, and this expandalone is merely a bridging point between Human Revolution and the next "triple-A" Deus Ex (which would probably take place in the late 2030s-early 2040s between the Golden Age of Human Revolution and the grim dark dystopia of Deus Ex). Well, guess I'll keep playing Human Revolution instead. But seriously, the NEXT Deus Ex game needs to have actual melee combat; sure keep the energy requirements for the takedown, but just let me punch someone without using up my batteries!
They hyped up something that was just going to disappoint half the fanbase. No one wanted this, people wanted a full game. It's a terrible idea, i don't think i even have something that will be able to play it.
It's slightly better than their March prank, since at least we got a real game out of this (not that most of us can or will play it).
Considering the backlash, I wonder will they even acknowledge it.

Looks pretty good too. That's a shame
While I'm very disappointed, it looks like a decent game for the iPad.
Not that there's anything wrong with mobile or tablet games. But hyping up the place and presenting something less than Human Revolution is pretty lame. Hell even the main character seems like a reskinned Adam. At least the animations are the same.
Aside from the fact that it's something no one will play, I'm also disappointed that James Swallows story is continued in this way, it seems like such a waste.

People get a misquote in their heads, and it spreads.

WHY I would have been more happy with a spin-off game set in the same universe but with different mechanics or something but it's just a shittier version of HR that forces you to play on a fucking tablet I'm out, that's complete bullshit
Watching this thread go from hyped to pissing hatred is hilarious.
touchscreen fps controls are like trying to write calligraphy using your elbows
First Halo, now this. Which big-name franchise is next to get lost in the touchscreen/smart phone industry?
First Halo, now this. Which big-name franchise is next to get lost in the touchscreen/smart phone industry?
Half-Life 3.
Well, better than having a game with hardly any change imo. I believe they have more up the sleeve, and they just aren't ready to show it right now.
God they did the same thing with the month long The World Ends With You count down and it just turned out to be a ios port and not a sequel..... Fuck you Square Dickheads
its still going to make money because of the huge, HUGE ios phone gaming audience (that also happens to be retarded) why should they ever make anything other than terrible shitty ios games if it makes them so much easy money
At first I took the moderate approach despite my disappointment and figured I could get it on my Nexus 4 and maybe have some fun, it's Deus Ex after all, the storyline itself would be worth the hassle of playing on a smartphone or tablet. Then I found out it was iOS only, fuck you so much Square Enix. Whoever thought that would be a great idea should be fired.
SE's pr is just fucking incredibly stupid though, if they had just said earlier that it would be a mobile title then they would have significantly less negative backlash there is absofuckinglutely NO reason NOT to mention that its mobile early on

Every time a devteam or publisher gets really excited about this fancy new phone game of an established series or something, they feel the need to hype them up way too much lately.
