Video game induced violence! Think of the children!

Yeah, you'd better damn think about the children. They will totally beat your ass for that hat if you don't watch out.
GAMER FUEL
GAME ON!! with Doritos

This couldn't be more stereotypical if they tried....
Well tried harder
Heh.
Hahahahahaha!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh my god. I don't think I can handle this. Everything about the Xbox One is either depressing or comedy gold. This is easily the latter.
Why wouldn't they continue a promotion that does well? It was kinda obvious this would continue.

Or you can just get a job at Kotaku

That happened for like, one or two games; Mass Effect 3 and Halo 4. It's just disturbing that Microsoft thought it worked so well, that they're already wasting more money to use it for their new console when we just heard about it three fucking weeks ago. If Xbox One doesn't sell with how much of a money sink this is becoming, god only knows what'll happen.

I said kill people, not sell my soul to the old ones that sit above in the shadow.

Yeah, let's just sell out and add to the image that gamers are all diabetes-infested, morbidly obese shitlords. That will get us sales!
Reminded me a while ago of one of the dudebro equivalents in my class proudly proclaiming that he was skipping a day or two right before the exams to play nothing but the latest CoD that had just come out, and how he had bought a shitload of doritos for the XP bonuses.
Preorders for the Xbox and PS4 are neck and neck, with the Xbox very slightly ahead.
How?
I'll stick with the PC/Mac setup I've got at the moment.

Windows will just make them say "aw shucks, better luck next time".
This has passed the point of no return. This will go down in suck legend.
Eh, I still do. That doritos thing was a little ridiculous but he seems to have a genuine passion for the industry and he represents it confidently. I still have a lot of respect for him for defending Mass Effect on Fox News way back when.
Having met the guy, I still do as a person.
As a journalist at the forefront of interactive entertainment, however; he has literally fucked it up for everyone. It's no secret that payola and bias run rampant in gaming "journalism", but Keighley destroyed what little credibility was left in one shill swoop.
Nacho doritos is the worst shit ever invented right next to pancreatic cancer and getting hit by a bus
I used to have respect for him
During the event the picture is from he always looked like he didn't want to be there. The same soulless, bored eyes.
It has begun. The XBO is so bad that its badness has torn a hole in reality and the parodic world of fiction has begun to bleed into our universe.
I think I figured out how Microsoft is doing this whole thing.
They are looking at what people are saying, speculating, etc. and throwing it in before they read the whole thing.
"Not allowing used games *ADDED* is a terrible concept and would drive away many players."
"Online DRM like Steam with a console *ADDED* would screw over many users with spotty and or no connection."
"Doritos and Mountain Dew*PROMOTION TIME!* promos are so stupid they are hilarious."
MSPA Adventures.
Fucking Doritos.
Hmm... I suddenly feel like Doritos.
Marketing success!
Just to be an ass, I'll buy Cheetos and drink... something that's a mountain dew substitute, I dunno. Faygo only exists in Michigan, I believe. So no one knows what Moon Mist is. xD
Anyhow, this is the dumbest marketing campaign in the history of ever.
If people ever ask how childhood obesity happens, point them to this. I guarantee it's the cause of it.
bet the kinect gives you infinite ammo when you have a bag of Doritos in the room, then it gives you infinite lives when you have a bottle of mountain dew
I wonder if Microsoft has hit the middle of the Earth yet, since they've dug themselves into such a giant hole and all.
beep boop kinect has detected you're not enjoying the refreshing taste of Mountain Dew(tm), applying handicap
Now they're just taking every single thing wrong with the gaming industry today, shoving it in a plastic box and calling it a "console".
i was having a bad day and this just made my entire week
Are they trying to prove a point here?
That even by completely going against every popular opinion of their target audience, the console would still sell well, even with all these unwanted/redundant/terrible features, ridiculous promotional deals, mediocre games and high price.
Because honestly, it seems like they just listen to what people want and they opt to do the complete opposite. And they're extremely cocky about it as well.
If it DOES sell well, we can kiss quality games goodbye. Because everyone will realize that this industry is completely ass-backwards, and that it doesn't matter how much effort you put into something.
With enough hype and advertising, people will buy anything. That would be the sad conclusion.
