A huge portion of the soldiers buried there were conscripts, so even after your little edit of "differnt story" for those who were drafter, you're an ignorant prick.
note that the edit came after that "different story for those who were a drafter": hence, it was in my original post. get a brain.
You don't believe that people who put their lives on the line to serve in their country's military deserve more respect than someone who didn't do the same?
deserve as much respect as teachers who give their lives to teach inner city kids, or police men, or judges, whatever.. it's a volunteer army. they volunteered to do it. they deserve as much respect as anyone else
So, a citizen in a country, can't fly the countrys flag? What the flying fuck?
That's capitalism.
this isn't really disrespecting veterans it's their property and they said no flags were allowed so deal with it
I suppose that's true, but I still think it's wrong.
You don't believe that people who put their lives on the line to serve in their country's military deserve more respect than someone who didn't do the same?
PSHHHHFFFFTTTTTTWWERGWERGWERG U.S military today doesn't do anything worthwhile. I mean, they're basically cops in another country except it's got a lot more guns than L.A. All they do is go to kerblahbastan and sit around waiting for shit to happen, and when it does, we feel sorry for them and further realize: There's no point in being all the way in kerblahbastan. Then people wonder: Why isn't it as big a deal as 'nam, or korea? at least they had SOME explaination for nam and korea, but no, not for kerblahbastan. The reason is the draft. People don't care about something that doesn't affect them. they think that if they're being DRAFTED to a pointless war, they're being wrongfully slaughtered, and those guys deserve a fucking congradulations for dealing with it. But no, the majority of the people in the US military today are nothing but jar heads eager to "shewt sum derkuz" and get all of their bonuses from the job that they apparently LOVE to do.
I fail to see how anyone can be offended by a US flag. Or any flag for that matter.
Zomg, we mite offned imigrentz! This is what we call multi-culturalism. Or, more like, one of the sad results of it.
...
eh, i'd like to believe they're doing a little good in afghanistan. iraq , on the other hand, perhaps not so much.
Zomg, we mite offned imigrentz! This is what we call multi-culturalism.
I guess, but bombing little brown people in an unjustified war (Iraq).. just no.
yeah, if all the little brown people are dead who will the pedophile pastors take on vacation
Zomg, we mite offned imigrentz! This is what we call multi-culturalism. Or, more like, one of the sad results of it.
This is what we call marketing. Nobody wants to move in next to a neighbor who appears nationalistic, unless they too are nationalistic. When somebody's flying their flag in the front yard, they're appealing to a group of certain people. When they fly nothing in their yard, they look like appealing neighbors to everyone, because they don't look that opinionated. It's not the BIG BAD GUBMENT making him do this, it's the company leasing him the house
Whether it's offensive or not is moot. It's freedom of speech.
Not if it's someone elses property. They own the home, they reserve the right to say how it is decorated.
the amusing part is that it is the free market system that is to blame (if you think this is a bad thing, atleast, i personally don't). one of the major talking points of the conservative movement.
the amusing part is that it is the free market system that is to blame (if you think this is a bad thing, atleast, i personally don't). one of the major talking points of the conservative movement.
It's not really free market, it's property rights that is to blame. Which is something even more important(supposedly) to conservatives.
you're kidding right? conservatives are entirely for a free market. they hate "them damn kommunists"
that's what i said :(
the amusing part is that it is the free market system that is to blame (if you think this is a bad thing, atleast, i personally don't). one of the major talking points of the conservative movement.
when they disagree with something that happens as a result of a free market suddenly their support of one disappears
Whether it's offensive or not is moot. It's freedom of speech.
you're not very good at being right winged
Communist countries love throwing up flags and pictures of leaders. Look at North Korea.
It's not really free market, it's property rights that is to blame. Which is something even more important(supposedly) to conservatives.
free market emphasizes property rights. i used them interchangeably
A lot of you seem to be thinking this was a government action. It's a matter of the rights of a property owner.
you're kidding right? conservatives are entirely for a free market. they hate "them damn kommunists"
no they aren't you're an idiot
free market emphasizes property rights. i used them interchangeably
But the property belongs to the real estate agency.
that's what i said :(
wait what? [editline]05:07AM[/editline]
no they aren't you're an idiot
yes they are you're an idiot, they are fiscally liberal which means they are for a free market that's the whole basis of their platform.
To be honest, I really don't see anything wrong. It's the company's property and hanging flags is against their policy. I mean shit, they live in an apartment complex, if flags were allowed to be hung then it'd probably look like Mexico City on Cinco de Mayo. The only thing I don't like is that the guy is a war veteran.
you're not very good at being right winged
I'm suppose to be right winged?
PSHHHHFFFFTTTTTTWWERGWERGWERG U.S military today doesn't do anything worthwhile. By saying that as a whole, the military doesn't do anything worthwhile, you completely ignore the fact that individual people are confronting death with a bold face while people their same age are only worrying about getting girls to fuck them and smoking pot. It takes a lot of courage to be a front line infantryman. You completely ignore the stress and hardships that these "jar heads" are put through when in a combat zone.
yes they are you're an idiot, they are fiscally liberal which means they are for a free market that's the whole basis of their platform.
Well, back in the day, the Government had quite a bit of say in the "free market." [editline]05:10AM[/editline]
I'm suppose to be right winged?
are you not because now you're just freaking me out
are you not because now you're just freaking me out
he's a closet republican
national guard and the coast guard was an easy way to not go to vietnam (which i have ABSOLUTELY no problem with) my problem is with those right wing fuckbags who are all, "support the troops"; and accusing others of not "supporting the troops" when they did the opposite of supporting the troops and that is not doing your due when your number was called.
While it is true are argument sort of hit a moot point. Coast Guard WAS in Vietnam, just not as much. Also the National Guard is much stronger and bigger.
are you not because now you're just freaking me out
I don't really fit in to either or. I bash Republicans and Democrats equally, more or less. Just so happens that Democrats are most in power, thus resulting me in bashing them more often at the moment. And so everyone sees me as a "right wing republican nut".
