Pixar make excellent original films.
Blizzard make sequels for absolutely allround average franchises.
I see a slight difference.
Yeah, the old Blizzard games are nice. But Starcraft is pants and WoW is just a standard, not a perfect example of a great MMO.
I'll have to disagree, When I see Half-life 1 I go, Oh that was a good game
When I see Warcraft two or three, I go, Holy fucking shit that game was awesome and have to play it again.
don't even try to tell me ANY of the warcraft games were better than Half Life 2 (and episodic content, by extension)

Warcraft Starcraft Diablo.
Please point out which of these three franchises are average.

Pixar makes sequels too?
WoW is the only p2p game worth considering even for a second?
don't even try to tell me ANY of the warcraft games were better than Half Life 2 (and episodic content, by extension)
Personally I enjoyed Warcraft 3 and the expansion much more than Hl2 and episodes
Everybody get hot and sweaty for Valve yeahh!
Valve is the Quentin Tarantino of the gaming world.
This
Valve are the pixar of gaming world
Valve is something, but it's not pixar.
Valve are the pixar of gaming world
How could any of you disagree with this, TF2 is pretty much The Incredibles: The Game
Pixar makes sequels too?

Only toy story has sequels.
and WoW is hardly the only game worth considering.

Something went wrong here.

valve became shitty after that whole "we got hacked guys sorry"
Warcraft Starcraft Diablo.

Warcraft, Starcraft.
Except Pixar actually releases their shit on time like clockwork, and Blizzard's employees apparently just sit around and light a bowl as another promised release date slides by.
Only toy story has sequels.
Sequels for Monsters Inc. and Cars are in the making.
and WoW is hardly the only game worth considering.
The only game worth considering? No.
The first game you should consider if you're getting into P2P MMO's? Definetly.
Something went wrong here.
:downs:
Warcraft, Starcraft.
Nice talking out of your ass.
I'm not even a big fan of Blizzard but it's impossible not to notice the immense influence those games had on their genres.
Warcraft 1-3 and Starcraft are top of the line products and it's downright silly to deny that. You can have an opinion on whether or not WoW is good but it's the most critically acclaimed MMORPG to date and no other MMO is even close to it if we're talking about the playerbase.
WoW is an awful place to start with MMOs, if you start with it, it will be your only experience with MMOs so you will have a bias towards it regardless of what else you play. Which is also why it's so popular, because so many people play it first.
It has some entertaining endgame content for a while but otherwise it's strikingly average and sluggish to progress anywhere with its bland gameplay.
Starcraft and Warcraft RTSes/WoW are popular because they're average. They're easy for people to get into because they're not shit but they're not complex or advanced. Mastering any of these games really can be boiled down to pressing keys in the right sequence - ask a Korean.
Come on, tell me about (rts) games that are better than Warcraft or Starcraft?
For monthly subscription? Lol are you kidding me? What else is there, EVE, FFXI? LMAO

Dune RTS for the PS1.
Blizzard makes awesome RTS's like Warcraft and Starcraft, they have a highly successful MMO that everyone still loves to play, They have a RPG that people highly acclaim (diablo)
i don't see why it's a bad choice.
Not everyone. I fucking hate WoW.
Dune RTS for the PS1.
Alright, never heard of it but I mean, Blizzard makes perfect games.
I think Valave has more of an "it's not ready until it's ready" atitude.
For monthly subscription? Lol are you kidding me? What else is there, EVE, FFXI? LMAO
Everquest 2
City of Heroes/Villains
To some extent APB
LOTRO
Pirates of the Burning Sea
Fallen earth.
It's just up to how you want to play.
valve became shitty after that whole "we got hacked guys sorry"
I dont recall Valve getting hacked except for that incident with the HL2 leak

As I already said, WoW is pretty much THE place to start with MMOs being that it's both accessible and complex enough for both hardcore and casual gamers.
As for the "Starcraft and Warcraft are simple and easy to get into hurr" argument, I fail to see how that's even an argument. Being easy to get into is bad since when? Sure, getting into EU3 is more rewarding then getting into Serious Sam, but unless you're a part of a fairly small demographic, you won't really give a shit about how complex a game is and you'll just want to have fun while playing it. And it's undeniable that all of Blizzard's games are very fun.

All of those games except for LOTRO and CoH/V are severely mediocre.
Wow I'd thought I'd never see Valve hate from facepunch ever.
Because Toy Story 3 has Zerg rushes in it.
I do love Blizzard and Pixar. They are both massively successful companies, yet they don't just churn out shit for the money, and they seem to care about their audiences. I'd like to add that I played WoW for a very brief period, and liked it very much, if I didn't have to pay monthly then I would still play it, but I just don't play it enough to justify the monthly cost, if I played it more, then sure I would be happy to pay, but I don't feel I "need" the game, I can fill that void with singleplayer RPGs that don't have a mothly cost.
Basically I love every thing blizzard or pixar has ever made.

No it's just up to how you can justify paying monthly for shitty games.
Also LOTRO is free now isn't it?
Mastering any of these games really can be boiled down to pressing keys in the right sequence - ask a Korean.
Worst. Argument. Ever.
That goes for pretty much any game.
I'll admit I did play Wc3 more than HL2 and the episodes, but I really only love HL2 them because of Garrysmod.
