blizzard deserves this more than valve
In what way could they possibly need anything?
This. Seriously, how is Warcraft even remotely copied from Warhammer?
If you can't see it, there's just nothing that can be done for you. [editline]03:25PM[/editline]
Oh. And on the subject of 40k, the response I have to it is :flaccid:. It's just so stupid.
:geno: I hope you're not implying that like Starcraft is better. [editline]03:27PM[/editline]
You should like, link to a source next time instead of screaming that everyone is stupid any time they disagree
To Google! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activision
On December 2, 2007, it was announced that Activision would be acquired by Vivendi...

:geno: I hope you're not implying that like Starcraft is better.
It's kind of hard to compare a tabletop game like 40k with Starcraft. [editline]05:14PM[/editline] If you want to throw Dawn of War into the mix though I'd argue Starcraft is way better than it. [editline]05:14PM[/editline] Not that it's not fun though
It's kind of hard to compare a tabletop game like 40k with Starcraft.
And you can't compare Dawn of War to Starcraft since they're too far apart year wise....personally, I've played both and I like Dawn of War more, but thats because I like 40k's Space Marines more.
Weird, because Pixar is the Valve of movies.
Ahahahahaa, this made me laugh.

[editline]05:14PM[/editline] Not that it's not fun though
I'm speaking more specifically of the characters, art, art style, universe, lore, tone, setting, and so on. Not necessarily game play. I'm not a huge fan of RTSs anyway. The massive, sprawling volumes of lore surrounding 40K outweighs Starcraft's in both quantity and quality.
I've never played a Blizzard game and don't intend to. WoW is utter crap, in my opinion. I love VALVe. But that's where it stands. Opinion, and opinion alone. So screw it.

I love 40k's lore (I'm reading Horus Rising at the moment) but I play Starcraft over a decade after it was made and still find it endlessly entertaining. Basically what I am saying is give peace a chance
I've never played a Blizzard game and don't intend to.

WoW is utter crap, in my opinion.
what?
Valve is the Quentin Tarantino of the gaming world.
and for this singular fact the shall always be cooler :c00lbert:
If Blizzard is the Pixar of the video games industry I guess Epic Games is the Micheal Bay of the video game industry. :v:
If Blizzard is the Pixar of the video games industry I guess Epic Games is the Micheal Bay of the video game industry. :v:
This made me lol. Pretty much.
If Blizzard is the Pixar of the video games industry I guess Epic Games is the Micheal Bay of the video game industry. :v:
Pretty much. Tripwire is like the Edgar Wright of games. Konami is like the Peter Jackson of games. Who's the Michael Mann of games?
Who's Uwe Boll...
Drunken butt fucking fight between Gabe Newell and Mike Morhaime who ever bleeds first loses.
Gearbox is the Michael Mann of games.
http://kotaku.com/5582893/blizzard-is-the-pixar-of-the-video-game-world all of blizzards games are amazing so i kinda agree here
No. They have no imagination whatsoever, and just name their game something like this: -subject-craft Starcraft Warcraft World of Warcraft Some games are exceptions. The only good games they have is the diablo-series, and even that barelly works.
Crytek is the James Cameron of games. They're all really pretty, huge leaps in technology and concepts and require a shit load of money to get the best results.
James Cameron is 3D Realms
No, IW is James Cameron. Along with Crytek. Yes. THQ. Who are they?
No, IW is James Cameron. Along with Crytek. Yes. THQ. Who are they?
James Cameron didn't turn to shit and pretty much die after his most successful project though
Warcraft World of Warcraft
:|
James Cameron didn't turn to shit and pretty much die after his most successful project though
Hmm... I was thinking the "Used to be awesome, but way overrated now" angle.

Playing through Warcraft 3 story I was quite amazed by the imagination behind the hole story/plot, and how everything has a point or kind of history and how they created a hole world. Both Warcraft and Starcraft are outstanding RTS games too, especially Warcraft 3 both because of it's standard gameplay and the costum games. I never played Starcraft that much and I never played through the story of it, but it seemed like no game would ever be the same, so many ways to beat your opponent. The Diablo series are also very good, although I haven't played them that much, and what do you mean it "barely" works?
Hmm... I was thinking the "Used to be awesome, but way overrated now" angle.
He wasn't always awesome before. He's a hit and miss director. Aliens? Yes. Titanic and Avatar? No.
He wasn't always awesome before. He's a hit and miss director. Aliens? Yes. Titanic and Avatar? No.
That's what I'm saying. His older stuff was awesome, now he's overrated and losing it. Either that or he's also Bungie.
Bungie could be a good comparison
Who's the Suda51 of the movie world?
Valve are the pixar of gaming world
Just as scripted with stiffer animations.
