• Trump: I have a 'much bigger' button than Kim Jong Un

The button is the same size. It just looks bigger because of Trump's tiny hands.
I just don't see the point of him
I'm slightly saddened by just how many media outlets make it seem like Trump can easily declare war, without any kind of check to it, and it's a little disturbing to be honest. As for North Korea? I doubt there'll be a war unless they launch an actual attack against the US, which is highly unlikely. Kim may be crazy, he may be rash, but he's not stupid enough to commit national suicide. Trump can't launch nukes without a declaration of war or proportionate response, namely due to it being unconstitutional for him to do so, and Kim won't launch his nukes because he knows Russia and China will squash him. Honestly, it seems like Trump's entire technique is a more aggressive and vocal form of what Reagen did. He's pushing NK into spending more and more on ICBMs and tests to prove their point, while also driving them bankrupt with sanctions and embargoes. War isn't really likely either, considering Trump can't declare it without Congress, can't launch nukes without a war going on, and can't send troops in anymore to fight due to the restriction on executive orders (Which came through in 2017). All in all, it's more just a political dick-measuring contest. Trump is waiting for Kim to run out of money, and Kim is waiting for Trump to fumble and do something stupid so he can attack, which he can't.
I'm being serious, guys, does anyone have a fallout shelter, evacuation plans, or a combination of the two? For years I've been concerned nuclear war is just around the corner, caused by the vast, deeply rooted, disorder bottled-up in the world. The problems in the US seem so persistent, so overwhelming, like there's writing on the wall, that a catastrophic event is inevitable. Could this lead to a missile crisis? Seems any win-win options have been long gone for North Korea, only lose-lose.
I was watching South Park last night. Reading daily news/politics makes me feel like I am still watching it.
Oh, sure. The President is using nuclear threat in a way that is barely a stone's throw away from a literal dickwaving contest. That's fine. We can resolve this. Please launch all United States and North Korean nuclear missiles directly at my fucking face
I don't understand what Trump tried to achieve with his Tweet? Is his ego not big enough already?
I don't understand what Trump tried to achieve with his Tweet? Is his ego not big enough already?
Insecure people are sometimes the most loud in trying to assert themselves, often overcompensating and/or projecting in the process.
I honestly hope other countries take his Twitter account as a personal outlet and not as an official place to find official statements, because alot of his posts are just generally unserious.

If he can't take the role seriously or perform the necessary tasks involved, he shouldn't have been given the job.

Might get him impeached after the fact but the nuclear football is in his court. Can't say I share your optimism about this being an actual strategy on Trump's part.
