• Once Again, Irish Youth Are Leaving For A Better Life Overseas

I live in Ireland and tbh I think it's great here and I just see Irish bitching about economy... but then again I am from Ukraine :suicide: P.S - I am finishing my MSc in Computer Science next year and off to Sweden (gonna learn Swedish) or some other peaceful country, mainly because Irish weather pisses me off and car insurance pisses me off too, and Irish drivers piss me off too.
Ireland is still 6th in the HDI list, way ahead of most countries and especially when inequality adjusted.
My brother... and uncle, come to think of it, seem to have nice things in Australia. And they speak English!

Australia is actually a pretty good immigration choice.
I want to get OUT of the US for a better life.
I've heard that the Australian military is taking in foreigners with military experience. Hell, if it didn't involve leaving my own country behind, I'd consider it a late career option.
I want to get OUT of the US for a better life.
I want to get OUT of this PLANET fuck this gay earth
Well unless you have in demand skills that's going to be a toughie.
I have a theoretical degree in Physics, will that do?

Melbourne and Sydney are pretty stagnated, not much there in terms of work and building a life, everyone I know who does work is either working a slave job, had connections like parents and family friends to get them there, or was just on the far upper end academically. Yet the big metropolitan cities are where the majority seem to want to live in. Things are better off in country Queensland, here in the NT and dust-bowl WA. Lots more to offer in terms of jobs, money and education. Nothing to dig up in Victoria or NSW. At least, this is my take on things as someone who has traveled the country lots and knows people everywhere except WA.
Although only in Silicon valley and similar.
Actually no, they'd get decent paying jobs within some corporate and other places. Its funny, in the US, if you do have a degree and good resume, you will get a job. Its just that most people don't have a good degree or a good resume.

There are countries with the same or better economy and with far less retarded laws and politics. [sp]Hell, I'd rather stay here[/sp]

Because you might've just given me another choice in my "Where I want to run away from this shitter when I graduate the Uni" list.

I mean, maybe it isn't the same for me, given that there's no real pressing reason for me to leave the UK, but the US is far from the top spot in terms of countries I'd like to move to. I'd only consider it if I landed a job that was based in the US, and even then I'd try to find an excuse to live elsewhere.

Where I live in California(East Bay, possibly the best part of all California and near the other top contenders) you can get 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in the suburbs for $600k-$700k. You can get a mansion for half that ANYWHERE else but the problem is that you won't be living in California(the best state)
fuck off, we're full
Another american who thinks they are the only country in the world, because after all, people who leave another country can only go there right?
spiders
retardicus maximus politicians. Any Ire-bros could come to Alabama and chill out with us here. It's no where near as bad as dumb-shits portray us to be, everyone is super nice and we've got plenty of jobs to go around. Those baptists though.. they'll getcha.
Alabama is great, cheap living, a lot of work if you need a job.
I've also noticed a shit-ton of UK's and Zealanders in my fair county of Huntsville. They say they're here on vacation or they just moved here and I'm like.. The fuck. Of all places, you chose.. what.
fuck off, we're full
Don't listen to this donutass. As an American, I welcome all!
Don't listen to this donutass. As an American, I welcome all!
I don't. Europeans are fine though.
Canada seems like a pretty nice place to go for me. Wales and the rest of the UK are somewhat lacking when it comes to the software industry, and I have relatives that live there :v:
Although only in Silicon valley and similar.
I'd say most new jobs in IT are showing up in places like NYC, Berlin and other big cities in countries with large populations. [editline]23rd December 2013[/editline]
Australia is a nice place that speaks english, has plenty of nice, sunny weather, a good strong cultural identity that is naturally accepting of newcomers (Bonus for being white), a thriving economy with highly lucrative jobs in the mining and oil industries, and a much more functional and stable political climate than say, America. If not, I'd advise against it massively.
I'd say most new jobs in IT are showing up in places like NYC, Berlin and other big cities in countries with large populations.
Most companies follow a simple architecutre when it comes to IT jobs. They are either required internal people, who manage servers and fix laptops on site, or external people who are based in 3rd world countries (India, Caribbean countries) who manage non-emergency account problems. [editline]23rd December 2013[/editline] There's really no push to move more IT jobs back to the west than are needed because it's cheaper this way.
