I've always thought about the ultimate desk to safely keep my tower in open, safe space never thought about putting it IN the desk.
Fuck that, those lights would be annoying if you're tryna watch a movie
WHERE DO I PREORDER THIS [editline]19th March 2012[/editline]
Fuck that, those lights would be annoying if you're tryna watch a movie
Then turn it off. I'm pretty sure there will be a light switch for something like this.
Good luck taking that to a LAN without getting a broken back/beaten up
Wow, I had this idea like 4 years ago. Looks like I should have went ahead with it. :(
It's not a new idea... It's been around for years.
It's a good idea but it's too ricey for me. Plus, the desk where my computer is, is also where I do a lot of my work and other projects, so it would get scratched up and dirty pretty easily. I can't forget to mention it's where I eat too. My environment isn't clean enough for that desk basically.
I hope the top is like plexiglass or something because I tend to make a habit of ramming my fat fists into the table every time I lose because I'm a spoiled rich twat.
I do like the idea of a computer in a desk, so long as it still looks like a desk and not an epileptic's nightmare.
I think he wins
Yeah, you know what, I'm buying a laptop, because I actually move my computer around. Especially when it comes to LAN parties. The lack of portability is much higher in this kind of machine than an average desktop tower. Sheesh.

All the labs at the technical college I attended back in Georgia had tables that did that. Although they weren't as ~sleek~ they still were pretty cool and even the keyboard had room to be in the compartment while the desk was closed.
This thread is the first time i have ever heard the word "ricey" and even after looking it up on the urban dictionary it still sounds really stupid.

It looks awesome but I wouldn't want it. My desk is a mess as it is with coffee stains, food packaging and a near-overflowing ashtray. There's a reason my case is under it.
i want pc in my chair
It's missing a toilet. To be honest, if I wanted a pc in a desk, I'd much rather build it myself. You could easy spread it out with extension cords from the MB to the various expansion cards. and would most likely be far cheaper
The major problem I have with this is that unless its completely modular it will be obsolete in two years.
This just in. It will cost about $500 But all monitors, Hard Drives, Ram, Graphics Cards, Sound Cards Fans and PSU, and CPU are sold separately
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTv2hEfeFP4[/hd] Bitch please.
Fun fact: Peter "L3p" Brands is the director of design at Red Harbinger. Could say D3sk was the idea which made this come about.

Also, again it's got motherfucking black gloss. Nobody wants that shit.
What if theres a fire? I can throw mine out the window and have most of it survive, this would be the CAUSE of the fire
You know you're a badass when you're sitting at one of these.
I thought someone already did this. Also, I saw another where the mother board was mounted on the wall like a painting.

And 2 days ago I had the idea of doing this, patent it and make millions! Fuck. But my idea has some mechanism so with a flick of a switch, the Monitor, Speaker, Keyboard, Mouse gets retracted into the table.
This hurts your wallet, Shepard.
I thought someone already did this. Also, I saw another where the mother board was mounted on the wall like a painting.
There's a difference between a self made casing and one that is commercially available for purchase.
I'm too used to my set up, I can never go back to a flat desk. I have a keyboard tray for my keyboard, and my mouse is directly on top. Any other setup just feels awkward as hell to me now.
Assuming control of this desk.
My problem is the power bill.
