Running With Scissors gives permission to a Polish company named "Psi Games" to remake Postal 2 on t

Yay new engine, because that's what people care about in a postal game right guys?
Guys?
Postal 2 is my favorite bad game of all time. I enjoy it unironically. The gameplay is clunky, the missions are tedious and boring, the story is the cheesiest thing I've ever seen, but at the same time I've dumped countless hours into exploring (and massacring people in,) an environment which is creative, varied, and interesting to be in. Especially with A Week in Paradise.
why not on source?
it would be nice
i guess its hard to code the missions on source
Use unrealED for a while then use hammer for a while and you will understand.
That's not even talking about stuff like compiling models, setting up materials and many many other things.
Source editing tools are from the age of the dinosaurs and haven't changed or improved much. That's not even talking about some technology improvements in unreal3 over source (many of them)
There was a time when Source was the top of the pile. Oh, how the times have changed.

source isn't the magical do-everything engine
have you seen postal 3?
I still can't believe that Source is as outdated as it is.
Really is a shame what happened to postal 3. RWS were faced with either outsourcing the game to get a widespread release and actual funding, or delivering a game they didn't want to deliver. Then after signing with akella they got shafted and realized that they more or less sold the game to them and suddenly they were just cut out and were forced to sit idly by as they watch the russians ruin their game, changing everything, then promptly going bankrupt before actually making an sdk for even RWS to make an attempt to fix somethings on their own.
[editline]5th June 2013[/editline]
rws effectively disowned themselves from postal 3 and don't even recognize it as a postal game. But hey, RWS is literally a rag tag team of game developers that develop in their spare time.
Yeah, it's a sad story. But at least if RWS makes another Postal game it'll completely ignore everything about the abortion that was Postal 3.
I was looking their forums a few days ago I think RWS are making or want to make a big patch for postal 2 that will include amongst other things the AWP mod
and another project is a side scroller(not a postal game)
But this is RWS so who knows other than they would probably be stuck with no money if postal 2 never got on steam

The AWP mod has been "official" for years now. It's been included with The Fudge Pack.

IDK i just saw a post from an rws guy saying they were thinking to make a mega patch but they would have to remove the weapons AWP added for some unknown reason
This looks like someone made an HD mod for Postal 2.
But it is pre-alpha, so I'm still being optimistic.

Oh, maybe they want to add it into the base game, instead of just being a download.
