4 months for the entire thing? As in filming and post-production?
Damn, that's short.
If that's true then it's probably one of the best movies ever put out. There are shitty student art films that took more time
wait are we thinking about the same Armageddon here?!?!?
that movie was fucking awesome!
It was cheesy as hell but it wasn't bad for an sci-fi disaster drama. I mean, it's better than most shit out now in that field (2012 cough).
Ought to apologize for his soon-to-be complete slaughter of TMNT.
dont apologise for armageddon
apologise for this

Goddamn I liked Armageddon, Bruce Willis is great.
He should apologize for Transformers
I like T1. 2 & 3 are two of the worst movies I have ever seen, however.
This movie was awesome.
I watched it for my first time the other day and I though it was pretty good. Some of it felt a bit rushed but it's better than half the shit thats churned out these days.
Way to go, Mike, apologizing for the one movie of yours that I actually enjoyed.
but armageddon was one of the best sci-fi movies ever
I thought the movie was fantastic. I still have my VHS of it!
It's a hell of a lot better than your recent work, Mike.
I love how he mostly complains about the CGI aspect. Because you know, that movie needed more explosions. And what do they mean by the third act? Was that when they were on the asteroid because no shit that was rushed, you're in a race to save the freaking planet not lounge about with martini's.
The best part (one of the best parts) about this movie was that it technically makes fun of modern Michael Bay movies in the scene where the genius guy goes nuts and tries to blow up the asteroid with a robotic machine gun.
How about apologizing for the Transformer movie series instead?
Armageddon was meh but Transformers just went from meh to outright garbage.
Yeah let's focus on the humans in a movie about giant alien robots, the robots are just there for explosions, also rapping robots.
Transformers Prime, the 3d cartoon series which I do like, does a better job of putting Transformers and humans together, humans are there but the cartoon still focuses on the Transformers.
Get your shit together mike, Armageddon was fuckin great.
Imagine a sequel,I think it would work

Of course, Prime still has the Bay thing where "got shot in the face" is considered a reasonable conclusion to a character arc.
[SUB][SUB][SUP]Seriously, how could they do that to Dreadwing?[/SUP][/SUB][/SUB]
Armageddon is technically a bad movie, but it is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I was going to say Perl Harbor too, but who am i kidding? I just fast forward threw it just to get to the attack, so i really don't know how bad it is.

it's fucking terrible but i love it. the dude knew how to make a big-budget B movie. now he just makes indecipherable CGi slop
I guess I'm one of the only people who enjoyed the transformers movies. I mean two was kind of shit but they were all entertaining on their own :v:
Michael Bay should apologize for his newer movies, Armageddon wasn't really that bad.

I don't think the first was all that bad. I mean, it wasn't great but it was certainly passable for a summer popcorn flick. Its one of those movie where if it on TV and nothing else look good I'll be like, "okay sure". I can't think of much that was all that redeeming about 2 & 3 though.
Of all the terrible films he's made this is the one he aplogises for? Not Pearl Harbor?
We've been this long and no one posted anything about this awkward scene? Michael Bay, you have to remake this scene.

There's many other movies he's done that he should be apologizing for.
IMO, he shouldn't apologize for this or transformers
For transformers 2, maybe, for transformers 3, totally.
i see now it all makes sense....
but its not his fault my science teacher used this movie to teach something, then showed us the day after tommorow to explain global warming, both times i kept bashing my head into the lab tables.... those things are hard
[editline]23rd April 2013[/editline]
i am open to bad-sciency movies as long as they are good, but when they are used as examples of science i cringe
The only movies I liked that he made were the Rock, Transformers 1, and Armageddon
Am I the only person that liked the movie?
