Corruption At Its Best - ATF Assisted Smuggling Of Thousands Guns Across The US-Mex Border

fuck you, ATF.
this isnt really corruption because they have a specific goal which is for the greater good still
this is a bad strategy, however
Strategy: Run illegal guns into Mexico. Use them to track down the cartels, while two-facedly blaming the US weapon laws on the murders and using it to further clamp down on legitimate firearm owners.
It's a win-win thing. They hate guns, and they hate that they can't control the drug flow. This could've solved both if they hadn't been exposed.

yea but the risk associated with being exposed isnt one i would take personally
i dont want to end my career with such a risky move that requires everyone below me to keep their mouths shut to the press
what an awful idea
and the justice department approved it? there should be an investigation on everyone involved in the operation.
I doubt the congress would hold any committee hearings. They're not going to stab the interest groups that are supporting them in the back.
Cause legalization is totally a joke.
It is?
Drugs like Cocaine, Heroin, Meth, and all other 'dangerious' drugs that have irreversable damage to both your body and mind, should remain off the street and remain to be illegal.
Weed on the other hand needs a reform.
Shrooms too, that'd be cool.

I think the government already allows Indian tribes to grow and collect peyote for religious purposes.
"Assisted"?
They didn't 'help' them they just didn't do anything at all. That's not assisted. Way to bend words CBS.

how fucking hypocritical to say that one drug should be legal while others shouldnt
how fucking hypocritical to say that one drug should be legal while others shouldnt
That's only because the Tobacco and Alcohol industries are very powerful and want all of the market share, they get the other drugs outlawed.
how fucking hypocritical to say that one drug should be legal while others shouldnt
How irrational to think that marijuana is as dangerious as the drugs I mentioned a few pasts back.

who gives a shit how dangerious it is
does a person have a right to their own body or not

Yes, and no.
I think debilitating, highly addictive drugs that can kill you within 10-15 years should remain illegal. This way the people who are caught with it can maybe get clean. Only if the US had more a rehabilitive justice system than a "cold-raw-justice" type of system, with an added bribe system, convenently called "court supervision" (For those Misdemeanors).
"This just in. ATF selling confiscated drugs back into the market for profit."
My god, I want to beat the fucking ATF and justice department to hell and back. The best way to stop these cartels? Legalize the fucking drugs they sell. The moment you legalize them, the moment these cartels will lose profits and slowly dissolve.
It's blatantly obvious that the only reason why they haven't legalized them yet is because the agencies that deal with the cartels are making fucking bank between trying to "stop" them and all the other shit they do. I can guarantee that they accept bribes and the system is MUCH MORE corrupt than we actually see and hear about.
It's absolutely sickening. It's not about public safety or health like they preach. It's about their fucking money and power. I can bet you the cartels are the other reason why the shit remains illegal too. They "lobby" (completely bribe) the law enforcement in the areas surrounding the border, who in turn claim how it's so fucking important to keep the shit illegal. The more "illegal" the shit is, the more profit these cartels make.
You know what else I wouldn't be surprised about? If the ATF was working directly with the cartels to sell the product. Think about it. It's the perfect way to get it over the border. The ATF comes and "confiscates it" thereby bring it to our side where it can be pushed into the market. It also creates a sense of limited supply, thereby helping bump up the price.
All the places in America that are raided by the ATF? Well, they are obviously local growers directly competing with the cartels.
Folks put on your tinfoil hats because this man has just uncovered the world's greatest conspiracy

why shouldnt i have the choice to use or abstain from drugs?
why the fuck should it be someone elses right to tell me i cant kill myself or enjoy my life however i see fit?
maybe if they were legal we could implement more ways for people to be safer while on drugs
like so, you know, people who get hurt while on meth dont feel like they have to lie to the doctor in fear of being sent to jail, and provide standards for drugs so that they arent laced or cut with potentially harmful chemicals

Facepalm.

No, it's just making a business out of it. Purely for THEIR gain, and to fuck everyone else over.
i should legally have the choice to do so
And I legally have the choice to shoot a meth head in my house stealing my tv so they can go buy more.
And I legally have the choice to shoot a meth head in my house stealing my tv so they can go buy more.
well that had nothing to do with anything

Fuck your shit, but only because you don't know better. So not a personal fuck you. But fuck whoever makes people think this.
Some people HAVE TO BE POOR and some people WILL BE RICH. No denying it. So SOMEONE has to be MUGGING ME on the streets, right? Stealing shit from my house. Because they've been PUSHED to that point. How many of those guys who mug people do you think would do so if they were RICH?
If you don't have money, you don't have a soul, is how to look at the world through a capitalistic way of seeing. I won't conform to this however.
And so that's why I'm doing MY PART by not buying a car, and spending all that money on repairs, gas, and whatnot.
Now I can afford to get mugged MULTIPLE times by people who need money more than I do, for better shit than cars.
Also, cars are worth almost nothing, but they are sold new for thousands of dollars. It's a bullshit way of stealing your years of work from you. I will not have my soul sucked.

I never said any of that. I'm just saying that meth ruins people, and they do stupid shit to get their next fix.
I know what a terrible drug.
I never said any of that. I'm just saying that meth ruins people, and they do stupid shit to get their next fix.
so does alcohol
in fact iv had more alcoholics steal for beer money than meth users stealing for more meth
and i come from a small working class town, where meth is pretty widely used
Regardless of whether or not drugs are legalised, a person seeking rehabilitation should never have to fear going to jail if they truly want help. I'm under the impression this is already partly the case, what with methadone clinics and the like, but it's not as widespread as it should be.
