• Hillary Clinton sunk her campagin - "I'll only talk to white people."

I've watched the video - and uh what's wrong about the quote? She's not referring to herself. She's referring to the stance of BLM activists in essence.
For those of you saying that they won't vote Hillary, if the race comes down to Hillary and some Republican, for the love of god vote Hillary. Despite the fact that she can be a lying manipulative bitch she's a hell of a lot better than anything the Republicans can put forth (at least right now).

She is not nearly as left or progressive as Bernie obviously but she advocates some things that I support. for example, free 2 year college education and a student debt forgiveness plan. On a side note, I think it's humorous people think Bernie's free education plan is too socialist when it's one of the few things in line with the actual current Democratic Party. She has flip flopped on a lot of issues but if Bernie loses I will vote for her, the alternative is horrifying.
*applaud* Good Job Hillary! Really getting those votes now..not
This is going to be widely taken out of context.
context doesn't really matter here, fortunately
Save us, Bernie.
context doesn't really matter here, fortunately
It could be interpreted either as "white people are going to have to change their ways" or "white people can decide what's to be done"
I can't believe people are saying "I don't like Hillary so I'm glad her words are being taken out of context" Fucking really? I don't care if the person having their shit taken out of context was Donald Trump, it's a shitty, scumbag thing for the media to do, regardless of who they do it to. That's what I'd be saying if the media was the one doing it, but they're not. I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet but the video in the OP is from a garbage youtube account with 2 subscribers. The article in the OP doesn't ever use the quote out of context that way. SH at its finest people.
Out of context as hell, but I hate Hillary anyway, so I don't mind it taking her down a few notches.
Accepting slanted headlines just because in some small way it goes in your favor is exactly the wrong thing to do
Definitely in conflict here. It's wrong to take this out of context (even though we don't even have a context yet), but I really dislike Hillary, so I'm sort of "glad" this happened? I mean yeah, it's very wrong. The media shouldn't be doing shit like this. At the same time though, they're going to, because people like this sort of shit and it gets the media involved views/ratings. Nothing we say or do is going to make them stop. We just have to wait until they cross the line so much that they cross themselves. This is definitely going to hamper her relationship with the BLM movement though, which last I heard, Hillary was really the only candidate they were fully supporting. And who knows, if Hillary is smart, she could even turn this incident around, blame the media, and come up with a new point for her campaign and turn it into a positive. I doubt that will happen, but I'd definitely love to see it happen one day.
politics aren't honest, that's just a fact
To be fair I do think her words are being taken out of context, but dear god she should have stepped back and think about those words before saying them.
Isnt she going to prison anyways? The espionage act is no joke
Isnt she going to prison anyways? The espionage act is no joke
Nope... She has money... Dear god even though there was the "IG" wanting to prosecute her, (which was fake) I DO think she needs to be investigated because last I checked 300 hundred emails were marked for review for classified information.
Out of context as hell, but I hate Hillary anyway, so I don't mind it taking her down a few notches. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves here.
You're all about 'ethics' bud yet you actually think like this?
You're all about "ethics" bud yet you actually think like this?
To be honest most people are only about ethics when it's convenient for them or conducive to their point.
I can't really blame Hillary for reacting like that to the activists, she couldn't even get a word in edgewise in the conversation with them, the guy representing them made themselves look like a bunch of idiots by constantly talking over one of the most powerful women in the world like she was some schoolyard playmate. Unfortunately her remark will be woven completely out of context like it already has in this thread, mishaps like these combined with the ridiculous email scandal and benghazi are probably going to leave her away from the nomination, (which is fine by me I want bernie baby :o))

The Context:
In the video published by GOOD Magazine, he also tells Mrs. Clinton it’s always been a “white problem of violence.” “Respectfully, if that’s your position, then I will talk only to white people about how we are going to deal with … very real problems,” she said. “That’s not what I mean … what I’m saying is what you just said was a form of victim-blaming,” the activist says. “You were saying that what the Black Lives Matter movement needs to do to change white hearts,” is talk about policy. “I don’t believe you change hearts,” Mrs. Clinton replied. “I believe you change laws, you change allocation of resources, you change the way systems operate.
I don't really like Hilary, but to have her catch flak for this is just unfair.
No. He'll straight up say that he intends to raise taxes on X group by X percent and stuff like that.
Intends =/= how he will actually do that and gain support from congress.
I don't care if she's a bad candidate this was taken wholly out of context. Either way people will eat this stew of shit right up and it will only serve to inflame the black lives matter protesters even more. The media loves to do this kind of stuff all the time. I'm not a huge fan of her policies but man it's pretty low to think this is totally fine because she's a bad person. We shouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior from the media no matter who it's aimed against.
You're all about 'ethics' bud yet you actually think like this?
nobody ever said it was ethically correct, but that doesn't make it any less funny you're lying to yourself if you say you aren't slightly amused by the reaction to this
Honestly I'm very pessimistic about these elections. We have Sanders, who might not make it in, and if he does then good for him, but after seeing him getting pushed around by BLM I just can't see him on the world stage going up against the other world leaders without someone like Putin shoving him around. I'm not too keen on Hilliary but seeing the media getting a reason to chew her up is very mean and sad. Also I did not know about her college policy until someone mentioned it in this thread, that was more than enough to get me to vote for her honestly :v: I think only republican candidate that can be decent is Jeb, so I've heard but I dunno. Otherwise it's Trump, the Republicans, and a bunch of nobodies. This is going to be an awkward 4-8 years.
this isnt gonna affect her campaign at all
this isnt gonna affect her campaign at all
It'll either have nothing happen, or blow up in her face. I can't see this as a mediocre campaign bump.
I'm surprised that didn't kill her campaign and/or get her arrested.
Well considering that she lied about the war in Iraq and helped get the pointless war going with Bush and chenney it's not really surprising that she wasn't charged with anything.
You're all about 'ethics' bud yet you actually think like this?
Half her "liberalness" is a load of bullshit, and she should have been getting a huge lashback for that this whole time. As far as I'm concerned, this is just karma collecting its debts. Is it wrong? Sure. Will America give a shit? Probably not.
I can't believe people are saying "I don't like Hillary so I'm glad her words are being taken out of context"
The general narrative of this thread isn't "I'm glad Hillary looks bad" it's "this is out of context, that's not fair". Quit doing that bullshit "Facepunch thinks this but I know better" bollocks that I'm seeing a lot of recently. Sure a few people have said it, but that doesn't much when you compare it with the majority of people against this.
Fucking really? I don't care if the person having their shit taken out of context was Donald Trump, it's a shitty, scumbag thing for the media to do, regardless of who they do it to.
Unlike in this case, taking Donald Trump's words in context still manage to make him look like a shitty, racist arsehole. I'm not excusing taking Trump out of context, just pointing that out. A proper conscious effort goes into making people like Hillary look bad, with Trump people probably don't even realize they're doing it because he does 99% of the work for them.
That's what I'd be saying if the media was the one doing it, but they're not. I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet but the video in the OP is from a garbage youtube account with 2 subscribers. The article in the OP doesn't ever use the quote out of context that way. SH at its finest people.
Why does the YouTube channel matter, the video is the same, coming from a big news site or some tiny YouTube channel? And I hope you're not talking about SH as a subforum, because most of the people in this thread are clearly against the sensationalism we're currently looking at.
Nope... She has money... Guess the times just aren't the same.
