Why don't they just close the close as it is full of Homo Sapiens
This reads like it's straight from The Onion
ironic considering you'd think the place was filled with nothing but english professors with chalkboards filled with diagrams of the roots of words trying to ascertain the most precise definition of a word
Homophones are on the GCSE English syllabus in the UK. Fuck me this guy is dumb.
I still remember doing a week worth of worksheets on Homophones when I was in 3rd grade. I remember it because it was annoying and made me feel stupid. Yes, I know that I and EYE are different words. Damn. The word itself is the very definition of what it is.
this is by far the most retarded thing I've read all week holy shit
Homophones are on the GCSE English syllabus in the UK. Fuck me this guy is dumb.
I'm deleting your account for not saying no homo
What will happen when the guy who fired him finds out he is a Homo Sapiens?
What will happen when the guy who fired him finds out he is a Homo Sapiens?
I'm pretty sure he's homo erectus, tops.
I'm pretty sure he's homo erectus, tops.
"WHAT?! You mean the biology teachers are talking about gays WITH ERECTIONS? That's fucking it I'm suing for sexual harrassment."
Wonder if the cafeteria has homogenized milk?

The same can be said for your and you're.
This goes beyond stupidity.
I'm willing to bet that the people in charge have to be watered twice a week.
"hahaha he said homo"
Sucks that they're so homophonic.
This is the gayest thing I have ever heard of in my entire life. Just imagine if they had a science program. Shun homogeneous mixtures, only heterogeneous mixtures are socially acceptable. We don't promote the homogenous agenda in this lab. [sp]We teach Rutherford atomics so the electrons don't touch.[/sp]
Utah!
This is either satire, or the dude's lying about why he got fired. There's no way anyone is this dumb.
This is either satire, or the dude's lying about why he got fired. There's no way anyone is this dumb.
you'd be surprised.
if you sent me this headline without a source id legit say its from the onion
"Nomen Global Language Centers" No men :v:
if anyone complains about texas and the south being too conservative, at least we have places like austin there are no redeeming qualities for utah
Salt Lake actually has a pretty significant gay community. [editline]31st July 2014[/editline]
Wow, how can people from my state be this brain dead retarded? I mean really, this is fucking ridiculous. Then again, when you have a private school in Provo (A.K.A Mormon Capital) you are bound to meet some of the dumbest fucking people in the world.
I spent a year in a private school in Provo. It's owned by a Mormon, run mostly by Mormons, and the staff is a good 60 or 70 percent Mormons. It is also probably the most tolerant school I've ever been to, far more so than most of the places I went to here in LA. You're just hearing the vocal minority and assigning it to an entire religion like a blind bigot.
“I had to look up the word,” Woodger allegedly told him, “because I didn’t know what the hell you were talking about. We don’t teach this kind of advanced stuff to our students, and it’s extremely inappropriate. Can you have your desk cleaned out by eleven this morning? I’ll have your check ready.”
"Advanced stuff". I was taught homophones in fucking first grade.
This is either satire, or the dude's lying about why he got fired. There's no way anyone is this dumb.
In my experience, you should ever underestimate stupidity.
"Advanced stuff". I was taught homophones in fucking first grade.
That kinda begs the question of what, exactly, they are teaching, if homophones are advanced.
Hahahaha, seriously?
apparently not, because if he really did look up the fucking word we wouldn't be here. goddammit, im fucking mad. a teacher got fired for doing his goddamn job.
On the guy's personal blog, where he talked about the firing, there was this comment:
When I called the school they said you weren’t a teacher and that you weren’t let go for this post, and I should look up a post you made about diarrhea. I couldn’t find it. What’s that about?
Not going to believe this article is true until a little more information comes out.
Very few people have problems with I and eye, but there's still the whole there, their, they're thing, which trips up far too many people. The same can be said for your and you're.
I've never seen your and you're as homophones actually. Though that might be due to slavicising the pronounciation where your becomes something like jor and you're juar
This reads like an Onion article. I cannot believe this, I just can't.
Annnnd this is why lawyers were invented.
“Eye had too look up the word,” Woodger allegedly told him, “because aye didn’t no what the hell ewe were talking about. Wee don’t teach this kind of advanced stuff two hour students, and its extremely inappropriate. Can yew halve yore desk cleaned out bye eleven this morning? Isle have yore Czech ready.”
I fixed his atrocious grammar.
I've never seen your and you're as homophones actually. Though that might be due to slavicising the pronounciation where your becomes something like jor and you're juar
It varies by dialect. Some places separate them the way you indicated and others slur "you're" to the point where it sounds like "your".
