It's all about mouse reflex and accuracy.
I don't want them to ruin it like they did with TF2.
You mean you don't want hats on CSS?
You mean you don't want hats on CSS?
First comes the hats, next comes the "micro"-payments.
Wait, does this mean that if I aim at another guy and shoot 30 bullets, those 30 bullets will all be accounted for until he dies? Because back when I played, I would get killed after shooting a whole mag and only 2 or 3 bullets AT MOST being registered.
I never understood why people were "good" at CS. I mean.. I'm decent enough, I shoot at people, I usually do okay in FPS games. In CSS I get decimated[b/] :v:
I think you mean destroyed? Decimated refers to one out of every ten troops dying in an army unit.
Its amazing, I was actually able to kill people.
I bet you couldn't find one other developer that looks after their backcatalog as much as Valve do.
Blizzard would like a word.
ITT: People bash CSS because they've only played it on public servers. Play it with friends. It's a really fun game. Grab a microphone + 5 friends, fun will be had.
Freakin' laughable how people whine because the game bugs are corrected. I mean seriously, were you all exploiting these bugs to play or are you actually able to handle a weapon without using any bug at your advantage ?
Most of those are just minor glitches that people use for ages. That's why the pro guys get angry everytime bugs get fixed. It was part of the game and I don't think I've ever heard anyone complaining about the fast suppressor switch exploit. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline] not saying bugfixes are bad though, just a probably explanation on why people get angry at such updates
I don't get why everybody here hates counter strike.
:bandwagon: :bandwagon: :bandwagon:
I just don't like counter strike because 99% of the encounters with enemies involve throwing flashbangs at each other, AWP's make you waste an entire round of playing by dying, and in 20 bullets only 2 are registered at most.
I don't feel like downloading the Beta so I'll just wait for the Patch release. Sounds promising though.
Well, if we happen to get iron sights, people will complain that it'll be like CoD. Which, from a view it might... To me. I'd like to see it with iron sights.
I wouldn't like iron sights.
This is great, will stop a lot of bullshit from happening. I imagine they will release more content for it by the amount they have been updating it recently, the game deserves it.
The reason the community bitches at the slightest change should be obvious. When you have fans that have been playing a game for about 6 to 10 years, it's likely they're happy with what the game offers. I remember when the radar changed in CSS a few years back, the community went nuts. They got over it eventually, but when you change things and fix what made the game special to veteran players, that's when the shit storms of complaints come.
I'd be happy if they reintroduced the VIP gamemode. That was always the most fun for me.
I'd be happy if they reintroduced the VIP gamemode. That was always the most fun for me.
Riot shields + VIP gamemode = some pretty fun matches
Riot shields + VIP gamemode = some pretty fun matches
Too bad the Source Engine doesn't support things like riot shields very well. At this rate the only way one can recreate VIP is via plugins and such. :saddowns:
I miss a riot shield, it was so fun to make people rage because they couldn't kill me with their crappy AWP.
Wow shit, i just played this and i totally owned, got like 30 kills and under 10 deaths. In official maps! IN OFFICIAL MAPS!
bring back riot shields and VIP , and i will never close css again
I just don't like counter strike because 99% of the encounters with enemies involve throwing flashbangs at each other, AWP's make you waste an entire round of playing by dying, and in 20 bullets only 2 are registered at most.
Oh look, I just went back to source to try it out and what do I get? This exact same shit. I don't know if I should be surprised or not that its the things I mostly hate in the game thrown at my face. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline]
Too bad the Source Engine doesn't support things like riot shields very well. [editline]29th December 2010[/editline] Or basically, a big "gun"? Since guns have a slight "shielding" effect as we can see by that deagle bullet ricochet video on youtube...
Too bad the Source Engine doesn't support things like riot shields very well. At this rate valve could add vip and the shield easily...... its not like the source engine was modified off of some kind of "other" engine used for 1.6 or anything......

Or maybe if you didn't hold down the fire button, but instead aimed and fired in small bursts / singleshots , all your bullets would be registered. :colbert: [editline]30th December 2010[/editline] Also maybe if you used "walk", people wouldn't know your exact location.
Or basically, a big "gun"? Since guns have a slight "shielding" effect as we can see by that deagle bullet ricochet video on youtube...
Only if it is dropped. Held weapons don't stop bullets.

Or at about 1-2 meters spray the M4 on someone and actually register more then 2 bullets? And taking different routes wont do a thing when EVERYONE throws a flashbang (or 2 most likely) EVERYWHERE they go without exceptions. Same for the AWPers, its unevitable. [editline]30th December 2010[/editline]
Only if it is dropped. Held weapons don't stop bullets.
Oh. Well I'm sure they would find a way around it.
The CSS community whines at the slightest change. Anyway, new maps are fine, bug fixes and such, but I don't want them to ruin it like they did with TF2.
What happened to TF2?
ITT: People cry for sucking at a game. If you want to kill, use what others use to kill. I just love AWPing other people with awp. [editline]30th December 2010[/editline]
What happened to TF2?
Hats hats omg gimme more hats!
