Those old ways happen to be hyper-Christian 1800s America, an America where people were castrated and/or hung/gutted for being homosexual.
If I were you, I would re-evaluate my political theories and ideals before calling myself a conservative. For example, I consider myself a Republican, even though I'm as far from being conservative as can be. Were it not for the fucking retarded conservative party and their warping of the meaning of the word, people might understand the actual differences between Republican and Democratic ideologies.
