Reply how that's the most racist thing you've ever heard and in a truly equal society blacks could be racist if they wanted to...
He just told me that I enslaved him and that I'm an asswipe and that I control his life.
He just told me that I enslaved him and that I'm an asswipe and that I control his life.
prove him right by kicking him off the internet
prove him right by kicking him off the internet
I told him I was Mexican.
I'm not backpedaling shit. I stand by what I said 100% and I won't take it back. Evidentially, I made the right call if the posts made by catbarf and Zeke are anything to go by.
Even given current knowledge I think jail time is excessive, assuming the father's side if the story is even somewhat true.
So what happens now, the man's gonna go to jail for 6 months and nothing's done about it and the world moves on?
This is obviously not going to hold up. There is no way he is actually going to serve any jail time. It's just some badly written law and it will be amended.

Guy is behind on payments Ex files with courts for that money Guy pays it, and while in court is told to pay her laywer fees as well For some reason guy walks out of hearing Guy sentenced to contempt of court for missing payments (prolly would not have happened had he not walked out of hearing) He might not get the full six months but courts don't usually just drop contempt charges...
erm noone says there is no bias against fathers in custody battles. just because men aren't privileged there doesn't mean they're not privileged everywhere else.
Ah yes, let's ignore all other cases as well such as the SSD
You'd think somewhere in this farce that common goddamn sense would intervene.
So who always says that men are privileged and there is no bias against fathers in custody battles?
the bias against fathers in custody cases only exists because women are viewed on as "natural mothers" and all that bullshit. it's not much of a privilege to have people assume you're the best bet for taking care of the kids 100% of the time
the bias against fathers in custody cases only exists because women are viewed on as "natural mothers" and all that bullshit. it's not much of a privilege to have people assume you're the best bet for taking care of the kids 100% of the time
Then the bias against women in workplace pay only exists because men are viewed as "naturally better" and all that bullshit. It's not much of a privilege to have people assume you're a better worker 100% of the time.
It's not much of a privilege to have people assume you're a better worker 100% of the time.
yeh that sounds really terrible
That's not even remotely true.

The tender years doctrine is a legal principle which has existed in family law since the late nineteenth century. This common law doctrine presumes that during a child's "tender" years (generally regarded as the age of four and under), the mother should have custody of the child. The doctrine often arises in divorce proceedings.

Critics of the family court system, and in particular father's rights groups, contend that although the tender years doctrine has formally been replaced by the best interests of the child rule, the older doctrine is still, in practice, the means by which child custody is primarily determined in family courts nationwide.
um that doesn't do anything to disprove my point, it's just reasserting the conditions we've already accepted exist?
Oh whoops sorry, I just assumed you blamed it on the patriarchy. Derp.
in honesty i find it weird that the tender years doctrine was initiated by a woman who called herself a feminist because it isn't a feminist concept at all
Welcome to bias against fathers in american courts
Yep. Pretty much impossible for fathers to win a custody battle, unless the woman is fucked up in some way like addicted to drugs or has a lengthy record vs no record. One of the reasons when my parents split up (Before I was even born), instead of going that route to do joint custody, since the state wasn't real big on joint custody and most likely wouldn't allow it, they just never got officially divorced until I was like 14 and did joint custody their way anyway.
in honesty i find it weird that the tender years doctrine was initiated by a woman who called herself a feminist because it isn't a feminist concept at all
Feminism has so many meanings now, it's stupid. Half the time it just feels like an excuse to say 'so and so isn't real feminism!' as an excuse for other feminists.
So he pays the 3 grand and than has to pay another for the legal fee's?
Feminism has so many meanings now, it's stupid. He was found guilty of being Black in America, I guess. [editline]13th January 2014[/editline] Gotta feed that private prison system, eh, courts?
