Yeah there are plenty of appetite suppressing drugs, but I think the problem with truly obese people is that a lot of them are habitual/comfort eaters.
Why is that demonized more than people who don't eat enough though
if you're poor in a first world country you will get fatter because junk food = cheap food
if you're poor in a first world country you will get fatter because junk food = cheap food
yeah... nah [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/oRIqDkh.jpg[/img_thumb]
yeah... nah [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/oRIqDkh.jpg[/img_thumb]
What about the people that don't have the time or energy to make a healthy meal? Or even the ones that aren't good at cooking?
What about the people that don't have the time or energy to make a healthy meal? Or even the ones that aren't good at cooking?
Just eat rice everyday, and every other day can be rice + chicken tenderloins. CARBS, CARBS AND PROTEIN!
Or you know, go for a 1 hr jog/walk every day.
That only burns around 60-100 calories. If you're eating 3500 calories a day instead of 2500, it's not going to make much of a difference. Exercise is important for other reasons, but it's useless for weight loss without calorie/nutrition management.
yeah... nah [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/oRIqDkh.jpg[/img_thumb]
fast food =/= junk food i can purchase a bag of chips for 1.75USD that has 1000+ cals collectively in it. 1.75 can get me a single cucumber at stop n shop. which am i more likely to go for and be more satisfied by? [editline]23rd January 2013[/editline] deli turkey is literally 9.00USD per pound tenderloins are 4USD per pound shit with the bones in it are 1.50~ per pound (which weighs less with the bones out) the problem is that the poor often have significantly less time to actually cook as they work longer hours / have longer commutes in cities. additionally, they do not have the time necessary to learn how to cook healthily, or have the tools necessary
So... I have a question. What happens when you take viagra when you're young, does it.... make it bigger than normal? ... Fuck it I'll get the free trial and find out for myself. I'll post the results if you guys want :v:
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times; Eat less, shit more.
So... I have a question. What happens when you take viagra when you're young, does it.... make it bigger than normal?
According to the countless E-mails I get every day, yes.
Or you know, go for a 1 hr jog/walk every day.
I walk 1 hour to work and 1 hour back everyday and I'm gaining weight. 88kg now.
I don't see what's hard about losing weight, I'm just counting calories and I've lost 7 pounds since New Year.
the cause of increased obesity in the US the past few decades is due to more in door lifestyles with less exercise, not overeating. Sorry to break some of you people's fantasies that there are a significant number of people just stuffing their mouths with food for fun all day or whatever.
I find that I can eat a LOT if I work out a lot. In the winter I eat a lot less, but also don't bike 18 miles a day to work. But I still feel terrible. I miss summer. I don't like gyms, they give me anxiety. I just loved being on my bike. </3 gimme boner pills

If lack of activity was the only cause of obesity then almost every thin person I know would be fat as fuck. If the only thing you want it to not be fat then exercise isn't required at all, only smart eating. [editline]23rd January 2013[/editline] Also I have no clue how the situation in the US is, but fast and junk food is considered very expensive in my area, a trip to McDonald's is almost a luxury for people who are poor.
exercise = sweaty nasty stinky angry fapping
"With my exercise regime you too can melt off the pounds!" You have no idea what you're talking about, exercise is absolutely optional if your sole goal is to lose weight.
This. Just eat less, it's as simple as that.
This, I used to eat 2,000 + calories a day. Now I eat an average of 1,000. I am losing about a pound every few days. Albeit its not exactly healthy to eat very little, if you eat less than what your body needs to live every day and have a good stockpile of fat your body will use your fat. Just make sure your getting proteins and all your vitamins and minerals in some form.

Unless you're like 11 years old, then it might be decent for a short amount of time, but consider eating more.
I feel like an outcast, I have to struggle to gain weight.

I plan on increasing it after I start working out on a regular basis.

If you were to jog for an hour, especially if you didn't spend half of it simply walking/resting, and if it wasn't on totally flat ground the whole time, you'd easily burn 400-500cals Going hiking, especailly if on non-flat strenuous terrain for 1.5-2 hours will probably burn a similar amount of calories assuming you aren't going at a slow pace.
This. Just eat less, it's as simple as that.
I ate about 800 calories a day this summer. Lost around 30 lbs. (215 to 185). Its harder during school though cause i cant eat whenever i want, so i skip breakfast and lunch often

For an average male, probably 1400 calories would do it to lose weight on a dietary scale alone, over doing it is going to give you stomach problems and problems with your nutrition almost without a doubt. and cutting out drinks besides water or possibly black coffee/green tea will have a serious effect on your body.
I ate about 800 calories a day this summer.
Isn't 800 calories a day over a long period of time generally considered to be the level of starvation
