National Treasure 3: Where Is Our Funding Coming From?
I bet it's only a National Treasure 3 viral.
No it sounds like ignorant fucktards who have no respect for the tomb of one the most accomplished human beings in history who desecrated it for a quick buck.
One of the most accomplished human beings in history? He was important yeah but really now lincoln isn't that great.
What if it was stolen from the tomb of one of the most (if not THE most) respected and honored leaders of your nation, culturally, politically, and otherwise?
All canadian PMs have been pretty crazy so anything is fair game.
I would think it would sell for more if intact.
It would, but then there's the problem of trying to sell the fucking sword of Lincoln without the police finding out
it might just be easier and safer for the thieves to melt it down
What's so special about a not even that old copper sword?
A 3 foot long sword? Was Lincoln compensating or was he just getting a really long start on JRPG weaponry.
I'm surprised the thief hasn't taken the head either, considering that it's in Springfield and all.
Aha, I got that! Nice one.
I doubt they'd melt it down. Something like this is unique and could very well be a collectors piece for someone willing to fork out alot of money.
What's so special about a not even that old copper sword?
you answered it in your post. copper goes for a fair amount these days and generally stealing copper pipes etc etc is a hell of a lot easier than breaking into a store
I doubt they'd melt it down. Something like this is unique and could very well be a collectors piece for someone willing to fork out alot of money.
But it'd be illegal to own, a bitch to transport, and a constant risk for the owner

What's so important about the desecration of a grave?
No it sounds like ignorant fucktards who have no respect for the tomb of one the most accomplished human beings in history who desecrated it for a quick buck.
I wouldn't say human history.
Hahaha, budget cuts fired the guy who otherwise would have been guarding it.
I say replace the sword with something cooler, like stainless steel or titanium or something.

So are stolen paintings and similar art. It doesn't change the fact there is a market for things like this.
So are stolen paintings and similar art. It doesn't change the fact there is a market for things like this.
Exactly. People buy stolen art and hoard it away where only they can see it, for the most part nobody else in the world knows they have it. With the right contacts, you could find a buyer for that thing.
Though, more than likely, it was just some idiots that stole it, not well-connected art thieves.

Say it is a representation of america's military
hmm, remember that article a few days ago about the 4' long SR3 dildo sword things being stolen, maybe the plan was to replace the sword with one of those :P
