bring on the boris
No surprise whatsoever. He didn't want to be the PM to negotiate the departure.
What happens if there's an early election and the Tories don't win
Would be interesting - but highly unlikely. This will only harm Labour further, but not enough on both sides for UKIP to come out on top. Especially if a "Brexiter" takes his place.
The guy isn't deserving of PM if he's just going to up and quit because the vote didn't go his way. He won't help his people through this time and will instead quit. Nice.
He was campaigning hard for the UK to remain, and the result of the vote was that a majority of voters wanted the UK to leave. So it was also a public vote of confidence in himself as PM. Which obviously failed.
I would have lost all respect for him if he didn't resign. That would be something I imagine a Latin American politician would do.
This is so fucking crazy. People will be waking up with the country turned on its head. It looked certain that Remain was gonna win, and now we are leaving the EU, the £ is tanking hard and the PM is resigning. A truely wild ride.
Pray that someone better than him replaces him.
Tbh I dislike Cameron and Osborne, but he's the best it gets: the suggestions right now are Bojo and Gove. So it's a snake or an idiototic arsehole.
I've got The Thick of It playing on a loop in my head.

Indeed, we may live in interesting times.
I'd quit too if I was trying to run a country and it suddenly decided to mix things up like this.
I had never thought such a powerful country could be taken on the path to utter disaster in a single day.
apparently boris' house is getting ransacked according to a pal watching the news, can't watch at the moment but anybody know anything about this? he said there are loads of people flocking to his house

or is he just exaggerating the camera crews

Nice.
I'd quit just so the idiots who voted to leave put one of their brain damaged politicians in power and then watch as they fuck everything up even more. In the aftermath, you let not completely retarded people step in and rebuild in an environment where the entire idea of supporting something so monumentally stupid like this again would basically be social or political suicide.
Give the people exactly what they want and let them suffer the consequences. Sometimes having the roof collapse on them its the only way for them to learn. Or at least, to make sure they are so scared of the consequences they won't try again, even if they may want to.
Un-fucking believable.
This has been one helluva day.
Today was a bunch of people watching a car speeding toward a wall muttering "he's gonna turn, right?" and then he didn't turn and the car exploded into a giant fireball and now the driver is dead and the wall is broken
Fixed the title
Fix the UK too please
Fix the UK too please

This is an absolute disaster.
OH NO!!! private enterprise!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! thats gonna really kill the UK economy
Ye man, American Infrastructure, healthcare, mental care and welfare is a shining beacon of the benefits of private enterprise.
Looking forward to Cameron being replaced by Boris.
By that I mean I'm fucking horrified of that piece of shit being anywhere near the PM's office, never mind actually being the fucking PM.
Pick ur fav pro-Leave Tory MP, cus that's our next Prime Minister

There may very possibly be a coup against Corbyn now as well
I'm pretty annoyed that Corbyn seemed to do very little through this whole thing.
I'm not sure what he could have done but he should have done something more than make the occasional statement.

He should have been on every screen making a loud positive case for the EU, instead the idiot went on TV and said he was '70%' in favour of Remain. He is utterly unsuited to be leader of the opposition.
Technically he's still in for 3 months, I think
He hasn't resigned, he's going to resign in later months.
Why not now? Or is it when the next election is on?
Why not now? Or is it when the next election is on?
conservative shindig is happening then
also if he resigned immediately you might as well put a shotgun in the mouth of the UK and blow us away because our highest position just shat on his desk

You'll be pleased to know that a motion of no confidence has been submitted against him by two Labour MPs - hopefully it actually goes to a ballot and then we can get a Labour leader who actually does something.

Corbyn pulled such a strong campaign to become leader and had a very strong start - I'm astonished at the complete lack of conviction he displayed in this debate.
It was a promising era but I think it's over. Hope for british labour's sake they get someone good to replace him.
