North Korea seriously considering strike on Guam: Reports, citing state media
Yep, just a load of hot gas as expected. They're not planning on hitting Guam, they're even changing their story to "mpre tests".
Correct; but, we have to rely on Trump being smart enough to pick that up.
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this in the multiple NK threads. The total solar eclipse coming to the Midwest on the 21 (I think) is going to bring (Almost 100% sure) the most amount of people that mid Oregon has ever seen, they called in the guard to help with traffic and any accidents that might arise with such a large amount of people coming to such a concentrated area. While all the local networks have been reporting on that we find out that NK can hit mainland USA with a nuke... Pretty fucking scary if you ask me. This wacko conspiracy theorist I listen to every once in awhile thinks that NK is gonna try to launch it while all those people are there.

waste a nuke on a gathering hundred of miles from us military center or government, as if they would be so stupid after being stupid enough o launch nuke at usa...
You describe them as wacko conspiracy theorist no? Only by ignoring all available evidence and Pyonyang's previous behavior would such a thing be possible. ISIS has a higher chance of bombing it (0) than NK does considering solar eclipse site as nuke target.
NK will not bomb US because it will eat them. At worst, if NK is fully isolated and is pressured to point of breaking by USA AND they feel very vindictive and angry, they launch their nulear arsenal against US weapons, allies weapons, US or Allies steady population centers, instead of event population centers.
Also oregon is not midwest, no? It is on west coast of america.
Smart enough to have won the election
This is true, Trump actually had Ben Carson rewire Hillary's brain so she'd have an intense aversion to campaigning in Wisconsin.

Yeah, "wacko conspiracy theory" sums that up pretty nicely. I mean, not to shit all over your theory or anything, but there are more people in New York City on any given day than there will ever be in rural Oregon, eclipse or no. Launching a nuclear weapon at a gathering of Eclipse watchers has absolutely no tactical value whatsoever, whereas hitting any of our major cities at just about any time could deal a heavy blow to our economic, military, or logistic capabilities.
Oregon is also far from the only point in the US where the eclipse will be visible. The Line of Maximum Totality is crossing the entire country, including right over or next to some major urban centers.
Basically, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just don't stare at the sun without your special glasses.

All of this. I live like an hour and a half from where there's supposed to be a metric fuckton of visitors in Oregon to see the eclipse, and while there are other worries like food and water shortages that apparently the national guard are attending to, having a nuke dropped on them is so far down the list of things I'm worried about that it didn't even cross my mind as a possibility until I read your post. Somewhere in California like San Francisco would be a much more likely candidate than really any place in Oregon, and even that is still pretty unlikely due to risks and high probability of failure on NK's part. Guam really is the most likely target to get hit, anywhere else the odds just get ridiculous.

And If people worried that this would cause end of the world, don't. Not enough Nukes would be used to cause a nuclear winter, I studied this with declassified documents.
Maybe we should trade with NK? They say that the biggest proponent of world peace is free trade. Toilet paper for peace? Food?

Lets trade nukes for $50 gift cards to Bed Bath and Beyond.

Let's trade Kim Jong-un for democracy and freedom and a new Korea War (this will probably happen as soon as the communist regime is done).

I turned 21 this month so at least there's that
At the same Presser that Trump Congratulated Putin for expelling diplomats he said he would like to DE-nuke the world.
Like Remove all the nukes in the world.

I suspect this is related to their intentions to strike the water near Guam as a "shock and awe" missile test in response to Trump's recent rhetoric. If not... whelp.
They did say their Guam-related plans would continue "mid-August" before anyone panics. If anything, the bigger concern is how Trump reacts.

its still rediculously dangerous to shoot ~4 questionably accurate irbms around a massive military base. just one thing going wrong and 25 miles away turns into 3 feet to the left of the front gate
it took us decades of testing to get a cep that would allow us to do that

I was wondering about that too. Here is to hoping that the butterfly effect is merciful in this case.
I'm a little confused about some of the details of this missile situation, and thus I have a few questions.. can someone whip up some answers?
1. Does Eddie Baza Calvo have any line of communication(s) with Kim Jong-Un?
2. Is Eddie Baza Calvo aware of, or in coordination with, this "strike" by North Korea?
3. If Guam has given this "strike" the green-light, and is allowing North Korea to do this, would Trump know?
And lastly: If North Korea somehow misses their target, and inflicts enormous damages in the territory of Guam, is the United States compelled to retaliate with militaristic response?
he just called it off

oh nevermind then..
He was never going to attack Guam. If he was going to attack he wouldn't have said anything, or said Guam and then hit somewhere else while we focus around Guam. The really surprising thing is he basically openly stood down rather than just keep quiet
A part of me wanted him to try, though. There IS going to be a war with North Korea. And every month and year that passes we don't, the inevitable gets worse for everyone. Had he done it, it would've been such a black and white clear justification for us to attack and topple him, rather than some grey area bullshit that will eventually drag us into a fight with NK and possible allies, that we would have support, or at least no resistance, from everyone
He's like that school bully that backs down from picking on someone once they realize they're not going to take their shit anymore
