Well if you were to do a story about the Apostles and how many of them were brutally murdered for doing nothing more than try to spread the faith, it'd work
To be fair, imagine someone walking into your house uninvited and re-aranging the furniture the way he says is right
If it's about the later lives of the apostles, I'm totally down. Passion of the Christ was a fantastic movie, and was a good way for people to learn about the roots of Christianity.
I'm very curious what direction will this movie go with.
It's very rarely re-told about apostles and events after Jesus's resurrection. Also I would like a lot less focus about brutality and gore this time around. I mean have that, it was a brutal world, but don't focus so much on it.

I expect a lot of de-conversions.
what's that mean

I want a spectacle fighter where you play as Jesus in revelations
You smash people with a cross as a heavy attack and use the spear of longinus as a reach and a whip for close encounters. Then you can activate god mode when you fill up your err faith meter.
It would be so fucking metal

Samson movie would be dope

AND THEY RUN WHEN THE SON COMES UP
WITH THEIR SOULS ON THE LINE
Passion of the Christ 2 - Live Free or Die Hard
Passion of the Christ 3 - Die Another Day

smash hit
$611 in BC is like $2 billion today
what's that mean
people going "if that is in the bible, the bible is not for me"
Passion of the Christ Episode 5: The Roman Empire Strikes Back
Passion of the Christ Episode 6: Return of the Jesus
Don't forget the prequel trilogy starring baby Jesus, and the inevitable reboot of the crucifixion
Really looking forward to this. Passion was a great movie, Apocalypto was great... Gibson is just a great director all the way around.
How about a Genesis and Adam and Eve story? It could start with a nice creation scene, like the one from Noah

This is what put me off of the first one. There was no focus on Jesus himself other than the moment where he's crucified, and its really brutal. I felt like there was too much gore and artsy shots and not enough of the story of Jesus sacrificing himself for our sins to be wiped clean and start again. So many jump cuts too. I'd rather re-watch The Greatest Story Ever Told or Jesus Christ: Superstar as they both told the Jesus story a lot better to a wider audience.

Wouldn't a prequel trilogy be about Moses and King David?

I would absolutely adore that. The only bad thing about that is we'll have to wait way too long before they adapt Apocalypse.

Thats because a lot of those parts are widely told differently by different sources.
