Grow up Barry. the popular vote proved how tight the race was. you mandate would have only happened with a higher victory.
glaber's depression turned to anger as he took his lips of the barrel of his gun and searched deep for some way to remind Facepunch they had won the battle, but not the war. "He thinks he got a mandate." glaber stared at the words, thinking. how could he express his distaste without seeming like a sore loser? his fingers gently and timidly tapped the keys in front of him. "How cute. Grow up Barry"

I don't understand. Surely if Romney won it would have been close. How does the closeness of the race matter?
As much as this is what everyone wants, I just can't see it happening. Over the past few years every single politician out there has used this as a lever to advance themselves in the public's eyes but we've yet to see a result. I.e. I'll believe it when I see it.
Pretty much this but...
It's Obama. It's a breath of fresh air, and I'm sure everyone wants to see change and seeing how much he talks about it, everyone expects it to happen.
But then you think of the usual presidential 101 and think about it as lies and get all sad...

It's the only leg that people like him have left. "Yeah, you won, BUT IT WAS "CLOSE" HAHAHA!"

Count to 3 million. I'm waiting.

3 million is hardly close.
You do realize he DID win the popular vote right?
by how big a margin?
When Last I checked, Obama NARROWLY won and the Republicans kept control of the House. If any thing this is a mandate to get to work, no slack off on the golf course or Basket ball court.
I bet you Obama's second term will go worse than Clinton's did back in the 90's.

Why people think all politicians are full of shit is one simple reason. We all only remember the bad shit they do. We NEVER, EVER, remember that they might have done good things.
In the case of Obama, making 500 sometihng promises and actually delivering on a majority of them and compromsining on a small minority.
Everyone's a liar, just have to hope for the best at this point and stop believing in shameless cynicism

I bet you that you're a big dummy.
Oh, sorry, let me turn that into Conservative scare-caps.

the margin doesn't matter, majority does. whether it was 51% of americans or 60%, the majority of americans voted obama and want his policies. cope.
And he won by 3 percent.
That's 5, 0.6 percents.
3.1 million

Funnily enough, votes are still being counted, so it's going to be even higher.

by 2% glaber. He won it by 2%.
What, so if Romney won, the only way he'd win is in a landslide victory right? So the whole country would be good with going to policies that even Reagan would shudder at?
Last time you checked, did you look up Rush's ass?
And holy shit, did you just attack him for actions that are literally 4 years old as he ACTUALLY gets to work right now?
Fuck you must be butthurt as all hell.

Gives him 332 electoral votes and a 2% lead in popular vote.
And it will only rise.
There's only like 80 percent total votes in.

1980 - Reagan wins the popular vote with 50.7% - has a mandate
1996 - Clinton wins the popular vote with 49.2% - has a mandate
2000 - Bush loses the popular vote with 47.9% - has a mandate
2004 - Bush wins the popular vote with 50.7% - has a mandate
2012 - Obama wins the popular vote with 50.5% - lmao how cute, grow up barry

We remember the bad shit they do because its always easier to remember bad shit. Good shit is never enough.
Even worse when the bad shit outnumbers the good stuff.

But this is wrong.
Yes, they do bad things, and we hone in on that like fucking hornets.
But, when they do good things, which happens at a rate that we literally don't believe, we ignore it, and forget about it, and let those actions slide. What is the result of doing this? People don't want to be ignored for their actions, not senators or congressmen, so I bet you that by ignoring the good actions and reacting to the bad, we're training politicians as a whole to only do bad things.
Obama can do whatever he wants.
He can't be re-elected
Thats why 2nd election terms tend to be better
(They know they cant be re-elected so they don't have to worry about hurting peoples feelings)
But hopefully they come up with something, because its going to be cray if they don't.
(I forgot the word) sequestration or something.
That's why I've started to think how much the presidency would be different if they were given only 6 years in office, but no chance of re-election.

Those sure were tough times for the good ol' US of A
They aren't. See: Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Barack Obama
Lol, why are you listing Obama with Buffet and Gates, though?
Lol, why are you listing Obama with Buffet and Gates, though?
He's worth something like $10 million, I don't know about you but I call that rich

True, which maybe not in this particular instance but in general is one of the flaws of democracy.
Oh man a guy got a blowjob.

PAHA AHAHAH
Dude, I wasn't even thinking about that scandel. I was thinking of how Clinton actually worked with the Republicans to get stuff done. Clinton actually compromised. What compromise do you think Obama will do?

Oh wow, way to miss what I'm saying. I'm saying Republicans actually worked with Clinton back then, and that they are less likely to work with Obama now.
You know, you should really watch that gun you're jumping. It might just be ready to go off.
He's worth something like $10 million, I don't know about you but I call that rich
Ooh, if that's true he has likely more than tripled his net worth since taking the presidency in 2008.
It's well off, but still nothing compared to Buffet or Gates.

Obama has reached over the isle more times than anyone of us can count, and was slapped down by people like Mitch OConnel who made it party policy to fuck with what Obama wanted done.
Can you at least fucking try?
But this is wrong.

True.
In the end, they are people just like us, and it isn't that easy to unfuck a whole country, especially the size of the US.
I have an idea. If the rich can prove they are creating jobs and need the money, then they won't have to pay as much as the rich fuckers who do nothing, still gotta pay some, but not as much. That'd give incentive to create jobs and thus more tax payers.
