Microsoft knows how terrible IE 6 through to 8 was, 9 and 10 actually run good They're catching up So yes, IE does suck.. less
Firefox 16? I feel like it was hitting version 4 two years ago. Which it was, of course.
What is so bad about Internet Explorer? I am using it right now and there is no problem.
I want microsoft to donate kittens to kids now.
I remember someone saying this I can't remember who but it went something like this
It's not that IE is bad but it's too inconvenient to switch at this point@
this is true for me. I'm just so used to using chrome.
What is so bad about Internet Explorer? I am using it right now and there is no problem.
anyone remember this? (obviously about older version of IE)
World's first 'tax' on Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 The Australian online retailer Kogan.com has introduced the world's first "tax" on Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) browser. Customers who use IE7 will have to pay an extra surcharge on online purchases made through the firm's site. Chief executive Ruslan Kogan told the BBC he wanted to recoup the time and costs involved in "rendering the website into a antique browser". The charge is set to 6.8% - 0.1% for every month since the IE7 launch. Every month the surcharge will rise by 0.1%. According to Mr Kogan the idea was born when the company started working on a site relaunch. Mr Kogan said that even though only 3% of his customers used the old version of the browser, his IT team had become pre-occupied with making adaptations to make pages display properly on IE 7. "I was constantly on the line to my web team. The amount of work and effort involved in making our website look normal on IE7 equalled the combined time of designing for Chrome, Safari and Firefox." I've never really understood the whole "browser wars" thing. I use IE on my desktop and I've never had any problems with it. I even use Opera as my portable browser and even then I don't see many differences between that and IE. Why is/was Internet Explorer hated so much?
Firefox 16? I feel like it was hitting version 4 two years ago. Which it was, of course.
chrome is on version 23. doesn't really mean anything
Oh god.. I have the exact same keyboard.. and it's made by Microsoft..
Look at this total loser hating our browser. You aren't like this guy are you?
chrome is on version 23. doesn't really mean anything
Firefox was doing massive version updates before 4, and then switched to this frequent minor update thing, and that's about when some massive problems started turning up. The time frame to get to version 4 is far, far larger than to get to what it is now.
the irony is that a lot of the screen capping looks like it was done on mac
From what I hear, the latest versions for Internet Explorer are actually really good. I'll continue to use Firefox, though. Don't want to enter all my passwords in again and shit.
the irony is that a lot of the screen capping looks like it was done on mac
I think it was IE :v:
I love my sidewinder x4.
HEY I HAVE THAT KEYBOARD AND IT SUCKS.
A friend of mine has it and it's my favorite keyboard to type on hands down. (The drivers are shit though.)
You know, I liked that commercial; sure, it had a horrible stereotypical "IE SUCKS" charicature, but they at least had fun talking about how much better it is. Plus they gave that motherfucker a plasma ball; plasma balls are the shit.
anyone remember this? (obviously about older version of IE) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18440979
Yeah but that was just for publicity. Also probably the first time I enjoyed a Microsoft advertisement.
What is so bad about Internet Explorer? I am using it right now and there is no problem.
I forgot about my bad experience with IE6, IE7, and IE8. I remember the annoying toolbars, constant lockups, constant crashing, and the slow performance of all of those browsers. When I went to chrome, it was godsend!
I love my sidewinder x4.
I have the X6 version with the detachable number pad and the only complaint I have is that the volume knob is flakey as in sometimes when it's turned it doesn't stop increasing or decreasing the volume. You have to unplug it or restart to fix it. Really fucking annoying when it happens in the middle of the night.
It won't make me switch to IE but it was a p good ad.
I think it was IE :v:
no thats the mac mouse cursor lmao
This has to be up there for Straw Man marketing.
It won't make me switch to IE but it was a p good ad.
If I understood it correctly, it's not supposed to. This ad looks like starting point for MS' campaign to salvage the marketing trainwreck which IE products are.
my dad still uses IE. it has script errors all the time that make you restart the browser :v:
It's a pretty good browser but I still prefer Chrome because of its wide variety of addons.
This has to be up there for Straw Man marketing.
Everyone knows IE haters LOVE karaoke.

I threw my X6 out since the wire frayed away at where it meets the keyboard.
To be honest the only major thing that bothers me about IE 9 is the start-up time. I just tried to start it up 2 seconds ago and it froze...then it started. After that it performs okay with browsing. It's getting better.
