But... does it really have karaoke?
It's still a little insecure.
Microsoft is the OS vendor as well as the Program vendor.
It's never been very good at implementing the standards.
It held back the web for several years
There are better open source alternatives.
Bolded parts are of debatable relevance.
FYI guys, you can get an alternative to adblock for IE
http://simple-adblock.com/

Versions
Free-blocks 200 adrequest per day (30-day trial with no limit)
Pro-no adblock limit.
Yeah okay.
1. IE10 is extremely fast. Faster then chrome on most things.
2. IE10 got slightly less support for HTML5 then FF and a lot less then Chrome. But this shouldn't be an issue for users just for webdevs.
3. IE10 looks a lot better then both FF and Chrome (imo).
4. IE10 is more secure then Chrome and FF but this comes at a cost of crippling some Flash and HTML5 features (see point 2).
Yeah okay.
And it's 30 dollars. Oh man I didn't even realize that at first.
That's fucking dumb.
Bolded parts are of debatable relevance.
And? They are important points for some people and they don't affect the other points.

1 - non synthetic benchmarks to back this up?
2 - HTML 5 is becoming less and less optional, like it or not.
3 - entirely opinion based, and you can reskin firefox and chrome if you really wanted to. Completely irrelevant point.
4 - see 1. Also find it rather difficult to believe that a browser that doesn't have plugins to stop scripts or other shit can be more secure, but that's not exactly a fair comparison I guess since that wouldn't be an out of the box comparison.

No he doesn't
http://peacekeeper.futuremark.com/
(Some people say it's in favor of chrome but I honestly don't care)
And? They are important points for some people and they don't affect the other points.
Because they fall under the mantle of why you think it sucks, which specifically was not asked for. They are opinions, and only have a loose relation to facts at best.
Tell me. Why is closed source software deterministically inferior? I think it's on the whole a poorer way of doing things, but it's entirely subjective. A closed source browser is not by definition worse than an open source one.
Why is bundling software with an operating system produced by the same company evil? I find it difficult to believe you would get upset if the ubuntu devs released a browser that they wrote with their distribution. Why is Microsoft getting special treatment?
I'm not DLing it - not because I don't like it, I just don't see any reason. I'm happy with chrome(Even though it's EVIL and TRACKS YOU)

I posted results in a webdev thread some time ago Chrome only did slightly better on javascript. IE10 was faster on everything else iirc (I'll try and look for the post).
As an user you don't need to care that much about html5 or not. Webdevs will always make sure their product is compatible with all major browsers.
I said it was an opinion didn't I.
I guess chrome could be more secure then IE10 with some extensions bu that would most definitively go at the cost of some support just like with IE.
Leme try and find the test results from the tests I did a while ago.
Also that doesn't mean IE10 is the best. I personally use chrome because it has way more functionality. The open tab share between devices is great. And nothing beats the chrome element inspector.
Can't find previous tests I did so here are some new ones.
SunSpider 0.9.1 (javascript speed, lower is better)
IE10: 171.2ms +/- 0.8%
Chrome: 258.7ms +/- 3.2%
FireFox: 246.2ms +/- 1.2%
Peacekeeper (higher is better)
IE10: 1631 (3/6 html5)
Chrome: 1536 (5/6 html5)
Firefox: 1523 (5/6 html5)
Html5test (higher is better)
IE10: 320
Chrome: 468
Firefox: 353
They pulled that off nicely. I like how they acknowledge IE's reputation and their implying that they aren't trying to change everyone's opinion overnight.
Yeah okay.
Internet Explorer 9 / 10 does have a form of Ad-block built in called Tracking Protection which can use the same lists as Ad-Block plus (they even have em listed on the site there) and it's pretty good at it's job except for the fact it don't remove elements.
Also the creators of Ad-Block plus are planning a IE version.

This entire ad pretty much tells me that IE sucks and the only good thing they've done is support kittens and karaoke. Horrible.

Let it track me. I hope hey enjoy the same porn I do.
Looking through this thread its surprising to see so many people that own the Sidewinder X6. I also have it and now I feel less alone.

Also not a bad ad.

Oh I know. I already have Easylist's and Fanboy's TPL installed. Like you said it doesn't remove elements nor does it block youtube ads.
I just want every other addon too though, ontop of ABP.
Ad blocking without element blocking defeats half of the point. More if you include the fact that you can't remove adds embedded in content like flash.
Actually I might as well post this while I'm here:
To add some form of adblocking to IE10, go here. On the left click on 'Add TPL' for IE9.
For easylist you can do the same here.
They're not trolling anyone, they are just self-aware.
Last time I used IE I got a virus within 5 minutes of launching it
Did you guys notice this?

I think they hate it
For the record, I request someone explain me this:
Please tell me HOW IE is inferior, not why YOU think it sucks.
My main complaint is that IE is just so motherfucking slow
Its just so unresponsive and sluggish most of the time, chrome loads things so much faster and has a buncha cool scripts/addons
And my good friend mr incognito for when things get nasty
Firefox is cool, its pretty much the same thing as chrome
EDIT
I love how Miljaker brought up all these points why IE is cool and better than the other browsers and used Chrome to write the post
lol
That was actually a great Advert. I actually have the same keyboard that guy has hahha
I also but couldnt help but think of this the whole time

Read again....
"Also that doesn't mean IE10 is the best. I personally use chrome because it has way more functionality. The open tab share between devices is great. And nothing beats the chrome element inspector."
And
"IE10 got slightly less support for HTML5 then FF and a lot less then Chrome."
Doesn't change the fact IE10 is faster then chrome.
I'd have laughed if they implemented HTML5 spec so far to the same level as other browsers. To me this just seems like an awkward "It's ok, IE is better now!", even though it's still much behind the other browsers.
Yeah Chrome or Opera are better, but modern IE is allot better than firefox

IE for me is actually faster than Chrome sometimes.
why does noone mention opera :c
Oh no I won't be able to play crysis in my web browser, so that means I should switch to IE.
I'm not a fan of IE, but the reason I don't use it is because I'm just used to firefox.
