Disgusting through and through. This isn't even a case where you have to comment "but what the preacher did wasn't right" because it simply wasn't all that out of line.
It wasn't out of line at all.
Fuck that man, some fucking preach is going to threaten you with hell from his stupid primitive book, then why can't 2 gay guys kiss? The teens expressed their freedoms.
The teens are allowed to kiss. The problem is when they go and report the man, which ends with him in jail. All because some teens asked his opinion.
I do that normally somedays when I'm busy (mostly when I can't afford food :v: )
Dude wtf don't you have EBT or some shit [editline]31st March 2014[/editline]
Fuck that man, some fucking preach is going to threaten you with hell from his stupid primitive book, then why can't 2 gay guys kiss? The teens expressed their freedoms.
So did the preacher, politely. And he gets arrested for it because a couple of entitled jerks got offended.
How can you hate something that someone does when they have no control over doing it? That's almost like saying "I love you, but I hate that you have to breathe." It doesn't mean anything and it's stupid to try to defend that. "Sorry I don't hate you for being homosexual, I just hate homosexuality."
Think of one of those old-timey fathers hating that their son went off to become a hippie or something. He hates what he does but of course he still loves his son
This is the exact reason why I don't think there should be any legislation on "hate speech" because it's fucking bullshit. With the amount of special hugbox efforts put into "protecting" people from hearing things they don't like by lawmakers, this was pretty much inevitable and here it is. I thoroughly believe that no matter how retarded, bigoted, fucked up, or otherwise completely crazy your beliefs are you should be free to express those beliefs. Suppressing how we communicate with others and the subjects we converse about is essentially putting restrictions on free thinking and that is never, ever okay.
Don't worry, God only hates your nature. He somehow still love you though!
My mom absolutely hates that I smoke weed as well as some other shit but she still loves me to death. Real world example right there. I'm sure their big man upstairs can handle that type of love
Hating a characteristic is not the same thing as hating a person.
Why would you hate homosexuality itself though unless you were told to, it's a thing, get over it
Christ, no wonder American conservatives are afraid..
Tomorow in Polish internet: "See? Britain gave gays marriage, and now they are starving and torturing str8 men! Can you see why we burned that rainbow statue last year now, ya lemming?!!1!"
My mom absolutely hates that I smoke weed as well as some other shit but she still loves me to death. Real world example right there. I'm sure their big man upstairs can handle that type of love
Can you not see the difference between a conscious life choice and an innate part of your being?
Can you not see the difference between a conscious life choice and an innate part of your being?
I totally agree, if it was something that you could change then It's understandable. But when you hate something that fundamentally a part of that person, your hating the person. There's no way around this.
Jesus went a lot longer without food or water and didn't get shit loads of money for it this "preacher" is not a Christian AT ALL
Not sure how i feel. Sure the kids were rather bad, but.... I hate preachers, expecially street preachers. Religion should be somthing that is at the least, kept behind closed doors. Would be far better that way. Why not just have more private churches, like ones without crosses out the side and 'god saves sinners' on banners. Ideally i would just like god and religion to not be talked about in streets or anything. It causes too much debate and arguing. Religion & god should be talked about less then kinks and sexual acts. (never did understand why sex and such are such a taboo to talk about... somthing to do with religion i think...) I just think the world would be a much nicer, quieter place if nobody talked about religion or god. People wouldn't have a religious war if it was considered a taboo or punishable offence to talk about religion in an open area.

No, every idea should be open to debate and criticism, especially in the public sphere where they have the greatest affect.
;44412286']He was fucking asked for his feelings! How is that illegal to give them when asked? He even sounded like he was pretty nice about it, wrong as he might be.
i disagree with the 'wrong' part, it's pretty much the most pro-homosexuality view a preacher could actually give
I totally agree, if it was something that you could change then It's understandable.
God this whole article sounds fake. Fuck homophobic people and all that, but thank god this doesn't happen to them in America.
you act like shit like this has never happened in America
I disagree. I can hate my brothers blonde hair without hating him.
So you think it's logical to hate an integral, inseparable part of someone yet somehow still love them? What exactly are you loving them?
So you think it's logical to hate an integral, inseparable part of someone yet somehow still love them? What exactly are you loving them?
Well there is a lot more to people than any single characteristic. Just as my brother isn't defined by his hair style, homosexuals aren't defined by their sexuality. Not that I have any issue with homosexuality myself.
I disagree. I can hate my brothers blonde hair without hating him.
blonde hair isn't an integral part of a person. if you hate that someone is gay, then you're arbitrarily placing a limitation on their (entirely natural) sexual orientation that they're incapable of changing. someone with blonde hair can dye it or shave it off, but a gay person can't stop being gay.
Sexuality is a core characteristic of being a human. Hating a specific subset of sexual expression is completely arbitrary. You're being bigoted against those people no matter how you may try to rationalize it.
I love it when people throw around the word "hate" like it's candy.
Insert whatever fucking euphemism you fancy, skipper. Whatever makes you feel like less of a shitty person. Point remains the same regardless of your stupid semantics.
Insert whatever fucking euphemism you fancy, skipper. Whatever makes you feel like less of a shitty person. I mistook the majority of Facepunch users for people who want informed, rational discussions instead of ignorant bashing and attacking. I must have misunderstood....
