if this was said in the democratic convention, it'd feel as if it belonged there lol
Ivanka is not a Republican and is likely more left leaning. No surprise.
Someone blew an air horn lol
has republicans made maternity leave, equal pay, and childcare a priority issue?
The Republicans haven't. Trump has. Ivanka just explained this.
I know I shouldn't be, but I'm completely impressed by how well this family speaks.
I was thinking the opposite really. The lines that were supposed to seem ad-libbed were quite forced, but in all fairness it's all obviously heavily rehearsed anyway.

so republicans will just listen and work with left-leaning policies made by trump just cause he's trump lol?
The whole family grew up in a board room, groomed by leaders to be leaders. I'd be more surprised if they weren't good at it.

do you think republicans will listen to hillary's policies
This is about Trump now, not the Republican party

Because he's the head of the party. If you stonewall your president you'll obliterate any future for the party. You also run the risk of having another Tea party uprising in congress, with voters replacing hardcore conservatives with grass roots candidates.

You're right about developing their leadership skills, but his children said that he frequently brought them to job sites and made them talk to the workers and operate construction equipment.
I'm glad Trump's kids recognize how well off they are.

At the very least that's what the whip is for.

its called the Republican National Convention for a reason lol
its where candidates and party proposes policy and vision consistent with its platform and people
you dont think it is at all weird or unusual that policies that GOP resists is proposed & laid out as if it is embraced?
Trump is bringing out redpill statistics
The absolute madman, he's breaking the conditioning
I was enjoying the speech right up until this shit about Iran.
If Trump is anything like his kids say he is when he gets in office I'm nearly 100% sure he's going to do a 180 on this Iran shit.
[editline]21st July 2016[/editline]
Well, that and a bunch of other stuff. Just like what happened with Obama. Promising all this change and then whoops hahaha real life is actually really complicated.

Yesterday's liberal ideas are today's conservative ideas. The march forward happens in steps. The fact that we have conservatives and liberals, but also have had vast societial progress, must mean that over time liberal ideas become conservative ones.
HERE COMES THE CLINTON ROAST
I really don't think ISIS is the fault of Clinton.

can you name some of these liberal ideas that are now conservative ideas in the official GOP platform and not from what Ivanka has said
Always a good chuckle when Mr Corporate America tries to criticise Clinton for taking donations from corporate America.
holy fuck this crowd is going NUCLEAR
Nice that he finally ignores protesters. Don't give em their 15 minutes of fame.
can you name some of these liberal ideas that are now conservative ideas in the official GOP platform and not from what Ivanka has said
"What the hell is the government doing telling those negros they can't vote? The government has no business in that."
Still have small government principles in the Republican Party, but it's now largely a conservative position.

We used to have slavery and women used to not be allowed to vote. Those were conservative views at one point. Homosexuality was once completely shunned by conservatives. It still is to a degree, but the fact that they even let a gay man speak at ge RNC, and that there are icons like Milo speaks that it is changing.
The point is that over time we get more liberal. Or else the conservatives would still be stuck in the 1700s.

They aren't protestors
They're high energy supporters

so has republican party officially adopted and embraced maternity leave, childcare, and etc. laid out by Ivanka in its platform?
No idea dude that's not the point I was making. We'll have to see.
give me some liberal ideas that conservatives now embrace as OvB said that is laid out within the party's official & amended platform in the current generation
I just did, small government was a liberal position then and it's a conservative position now. If that's not good enough for you go play around on Wikipedia, I doubt this is the proper time and place for this argument. I'd go around and around with you in any other thread but not right now.
