Wait a second. Isn't Milo, one of the two openly gay guy at GOP convection, against same-sex marriage?
I've never actually listened to Milo because it seemed like any video he was in was some big social justice troll fight and I can't be bothered to listen to that crap.

Yes and I don't think he was there, he was just at a 'fabulous' party near the event. Laurie Penny wrote about here (https://medium.com/welcome-to-the-scream-room/im-with-the-banned-8d1b6e0b2932#.x443uu58g) and it was actually (to my surprise as a Laurie Penny hater) very funny so I recommend it.

It takes awhile because you have to arrange the candles in the shape of a star and wait for the wax to trickle down to the ground while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

And they're really tall candles.
The Republican platform is insanely socially conservative. Why you guys suddenly think that they're even half-way liberal is beyond me. His running mate is possibly one of the most socially conservative politicians in the country.
Trump doesn't represent the platform. The GOP would've jumped onto the Trump train from the get-go if he was a gay hating bible clutching evangelical like Cruz. They didn't. They pledged never to support him not because he was an outsider but because he has a track record of supporting the gay community and being quite liberal overall. Picking someone like Pence was purely appeasement to calm the establishment down and give them their own dog to enter the race.
And people in this thread praising Cruz must've missed his entire speech. He now claims to support the LGBT community out of nowhere. The dude is a fucking snake but because he "stood by his beliefs" and spoke against Trump he's suddenly A-OK on facepunch. Hilarious.

he didn't support or endorse a man who directly insulted him on a personal level despite the fact that probably killed his career
hard to not like that action even from a horrible person like Cruz. Displays of humility are a good thing, though I guess if you asked Trump, he'd loudly and proudly proclaim to be the most humble man alive.

Applauding Cruz for not kissing Trump's ass isn't the same as saying Cruz is A-Ok. You can give credit where credit is due to people you vehemently disagree with.

A very well written article detailing everything wrong about him. It's secured my vote against Trump.
My dad still seems to think Trump is good for the party and that just because he is running as a Republican he is a good guy and can't understand why he calls out a judge for being of hispanic descent and thinks there is some sort of secret plan to it.
He can't comprehend the possibility of a GOP nominee actually being racist. If Trump was running as a Democrat he'd be up in arms screaming "YOU SEE!? THE DEMOCRATS ARE MORE RACIST THEN US!"

Remember though, it's perfectly ok because it's against Donald :v:. If it was against anybody else this forum would be laughing at Cruz.

What? Cruz is just as much of a nutcase as Trump, and if the positions were switched the reaction would be the same, if not far more muted considering Trump is not part of the Republican establishment.

I asked him to give me five reasons why Bernie Sanders was a bad pick and then later five reasons why Johnson was a bad pick and he just spluttered and literally said random things he heard on TV. I don't remember exactly what he picked for "reasons" but I do remember saying that two of his answers were just random unrelated shit. :v:

Oh wait I remember, he said "Black Lives Matter." Just that. "What's so bad about Johnson?" "Black Lives Matter." I had to laugh.

Some of a candidate's supporters being idiots isn't a very good reason not to vote for them, especially if the other candidate is a prideful, arrogant liar with a short attention span who's only in the race to aggrandize himself and satisfy his ego.
There are 325 million people in the United States. Some of them will be insufferable. That doesn't incriminate the things they like.
The Republican Base doesn't live in reality and it's quite sad and dangerous. They are making their lifes miserable over things that aren't true and they are lashing out at people and institutions for things that aren't deserved.
Can you blame them at this point? They've been lied to and manipulated for over a decade by people that are more than happy to tell them how terrible things are to secure votes.
As a Brit that is about to immigrate and eventually naturalize in America, it's slightly terrifying that I am going to be around such insanity and bigotry that seems to just get worse and worse each election.
If you're leaving Britain, I'd advise settling in Canada.
