Beyond that Julian pretty much said on the stream that they keep exact publication times secret so that no one has an opportunity to spin stories from the first second which kind of makes sense. Especially when you look at some of the negative stories people have had over wikileaks (which they also covered)
They may publish the "juicy" stuff in that last week though --- given that the US election is a month away there is a chance that there may be nothing in the next seven days. - I'll confirm the bet via PM though.

It may be more interesting to see damaging information come out at the very last moments prior to the election because I assume that would be unprecedented in history and the more time available to candidates the more time there is to try and distract.

This. If WikiLeaks are political activists rather than genuine journalists it stands to reason they would sit on info.

alternatively releasing it close to the election might render the news media incapable (or unwilling) to cover it because they're too busy covering trump shitting himself or the election or Hillary sneezing her nose off or something
