you haven't been on facebook or twitter lately have you
I think gun owners are demonized because people who shoot people tend to use guns.
If we are going off of things people say on the internet, I'd say MLP fans are far more demonized than American gun owners.
not on facebook or twitter. I haven't seen one mention of MLP on facebook you're forgetting that real people are typically the ones who post on the internet [editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
I think gun owners are demonized because people who shoot people tend to use guns.
they also tend to use toothbrushes and underwear but those don't get demonized. but buttsex, not all toothbrush users are mass murderers! and you'd be right by saying that, just like I'd be right by saying that not all gun owners are mass murderers
ugh i know! you have to go through SO much shit to buy an assault rifle it's just insane! i mean a whole packet of 2 pages that you have to fill out to buy one! that's insane!
um you cant get an assault rifle in the usa. it's technically not illegal but it's restricted to the point of unfeasibility.
seriously though, gun owners aren't demonized at all i don't know how delusional you are to believe that, the only people that make gun owners look bad are retarded as fuck gun owners like most of the NRA and dumbasses who go around open carrying assault rifles because "they can"
assault rifles were outlawed for civilian purchase in 1986. nobody goes around OCing assault rifles because nobody owns them [editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
ugh i know! you have to go through SO much shit to buy an assault rifle it's just insane! i mean a whole packet of 2 pages that you have to fill out to buy one! that's insane!
and the only way to get them is to buy one that's 30-50 years old and in questionable condition which comes with about 6-8 months of waiting and a $200 tax stamp and your name on every criminal watch list in the united states and a 4 page form to fill out and a write-off by your local chief of police on top of the fact that the rifle already costs over $20,000 on the absolute lowest end
you haven't been on facebook or twitter lately have you
are you kidding me [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] people on twitter and facebook are mean about guns after a national tragedy :( i'm so demonized
Oh god, what the hell happened to this thread. Well done, FP, I should not have expected better.
Oh god, what the hell happened to this thread. Well done, FP, I should not have expected better.
I think it started when someone said gun owners in America are demonized, which I am incredibly curious about because if anything I've seen the exact opposite. Don't cry.
Guys stop talking about gun stuff, this isn't the place nor the time, we really don't need every thread to burst into a gun debate thread
are you kidding me [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] people on twitter and facebook are mean about guns after a national tragedy :( i'm so demonized
yeah that's what demonized is. they're pointing fingers in the wrong direction and labeling guns and gun owners as evil bastards
yeah that's what demonized is. they're pointing fingers in the wrong direction and labeling guns and gun owners as evil bastards
and hillary clinton is responsible for this because there is no wide-scale oppression of gun owners. you reading some tweets is about as useful as any other anecdotal evidence. here's another list of anti-gun laws sweeping the nation lately:
yeah that's what demonized is. they're pointing fingers in the wrong direction and labeling guns and gun owners as evil bastards
some people on the internet also blamed mass effect and mountain dew. people on the internet are dumb dude, no one is demonizing gun owners in America and gun culture is still widely reinforced. why are you guys so paranoid? [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] also going back on topic, what does Hilary Clinton have to do with this? I don't remember her demonizing gun owners or calling for their demonization (just made that word up)
and hillary clinton is responsible for this because there is no wide-scale oppression of gun owners. you reading some tweets is about as useful as any other anecdotal evidence. here's another list of anti-gun laws sweeping the nation lately:
she was the absolute biggest single proponent of the 1994 AWB. it's 50% brady campaign and 50% hillary laws aren't relevant you ninny, this is about attitudes
some people on the internet also blamed mass effect and mountain dew. people on the internet are dumb dude, no one is demonizing gun owners in America and gun culture is still widely reinforced. why are you guys so paranoid? [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] also going back on topic, what does Hilary Clinton have to do with this? I don't remember her demonizing gun owners or calling for their demonization (just made that word up)
someone else claimed she did. isn't she a fairly famous advocate for tighter gun control in america?
she was the absolute biggest single proponent of the 1994 AWB. it's 50% brady campaign and 50% hillary laws aren't relevant you ninny, this is about attitudes
how is hillary clinton responsible for anyone's attitudes you absolute ninny. she hasn't said anything on the issue in years.
she was the absolute biggest single proponent of the 1994 AWB. it's 50% brady campaign and 50% hillary laws aren't relevant you ninny, this is about attitudes
the 1994 awb is probably the biggest example of shit gun control(not that i'm necessarily for or against gun control as an idea). it was so fucking arbitrary.
and laws are a pretty good indication of attitudes. if there was some wide-scale demonization of gun-owners, then there would be legislation that reflect that, such as with actually demonized groups, like homosexuals.
how is hillary clinton responsible for anyone's attitudes you absolute ninny. she hasn't said anything on the issue in years.
she was one of the ones responsible for the term "assault weapon" aka the phrase that scared the masses stupid you're probably not old enough to remember this but before the AWB there was next to nobody who was afraid of guns
QUCIK GOTTA STOKCPILE ALL MA GUNZ
she was one of the ones responsible for the term "assault weapon" aka the phrase that scared the masses stupid you're probably not old enough to remember this but before the AWB there was next to nobody who was afraid of guns
[citation needed] unless hillary clinton was made a dictator for some period of time, she didn't unilaterally enact the AWB also, lol @ your worthless attempt to infer my age based on how superior you feel
she was one of the ones responsible for the term "assault weapon" aka the phrase that scared the masses stupid you're probably not old enough to remember this but before the AWB there was next to nobody who was afraid of guns
Wait, is it guns or gun owners? Because that's two very different things. I'm not finding anything on her demonizing people who own guns. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] I would also like a citation, perhaps a psychological profile?, of all Americans and their thoughts towards firearms before and after the Assault Weapons Ban was introduced. Gun control has been a hot topic in America for decades before Clinton was in any position to affect policy.
not on facebook or twitter. I haven't seen one mention of MLP on facebook you're forgetting that real people are typically the ones who post on the internet [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] they also tend to use toothbrushes and underwear but those don't get demonized. but buttsex, not all toothbrush users are mass murderers! and you'd be right by saying that, just like I'd be right by saying that not all gun owners are mass murderers
Did that seriously go over your head? Guns are the weapon used to perpetrate the crime, not toothbrushes or underwear. I am an advocate of gun rights, but you have to be totally blind or just in denial to think that all the hatred towards guns/gun owners is due to one politician.
she was one of the ones responsible for the term "assault weapon" aka the phrase that scared the masses stupid you're probably not old enough to remember this but before the AWB there was next to nobody who was afraid of guns
Lol. Are you serious? I guess you missed all the contention about gun violence after crack hit the streets in 84.
um you cant get an assault rifle in the usa. it's technically not illegal but it's restricted to the point of unfeasibility.
an assault rifle is not defined by whether or not it's fully automatic
She is crazy.
she was one of the ones responsible for the term "assault weapon" aka the phrase that scared the masses stupid you're probably not old enough to remember this but before the AWB there was next to nobody who was afraid of guns
are you joking assault rifles were designed specifically to kill other people, and no they're not illegal, an AR 15 is an assault rifle, an AKM is an assault rifle in the vast majority of states you can go to your local gun store and purchase one by filling out some papers and showing them your ID you don't need 30 bullets to hunt an animal and i'm not against guns, i love guns, but guess what we, as gun owners, are not demonized at all in this country
an assault rifle is not defined by whether or not it's fully automatic
it's defined by whether or not it's selective fire and chambered in an intermediate cartridge a civvy legal AR15 or AKM isn't selective fire. they're just semi-automatic rifles. no more deadly than a varmint rifle
she was one of the ones responsible for the term "assault weapon" aka the phrase that scared the masses stupid
The fuck? It's called an assault rifle because it's a rifle intended for 'assault'.
an assault rifle is not defined by whether or not it's fully automatic
assault weapon != assault rifle just because some shitty lawmakers got in and made up an arbitrary definition for "assault weapons" doesn't mean it has much to do with actual military level weaponry.
Whoa, didn't expect that. As if fainting from a dehydrating stomach virus wasn't enough, she banged her goddamn head in the process; what an unfortunate turn of events.
Awch that headache must hurt like hell
