Maybe because it needs to be fed? I mean yea there are other options (like pumping before hand), but I can understand, some women are vehemently against pumping (apparently it's not an amazing feeling)
I think he means, why is the baby at the Government meeting in the first place. Why did she bring the kid instead of hiring someone to look after the kid? I highly doubt she was in so much of a rush that she HAD to bring the Kid just so she can feed her. I don't really mind if people breastfeed in public but bringing a kid to a Government meeting seems...really out of place and downright stupid. If the kid is sleeping and people get in a heated debate, it will wake up and cry and disrupt the meeting. Or if it Vomits there will be a mess in the meeting for a while. [editline]11th May 2017[/editline] This seems like she is Politicizing the kid, pushing an Agenda and bringing her kid into it for new reason besides that.
That would make me very uncomfortable if I heard soft suckling behind me while I was trying to run the country. I would pretty much have the same face as that guy A baby has no place in Parliament, much less a baby being breastfed.
That guy happens to be the leader of her own political party and is also a doctor and doesn't give two shits about the baby like any other reasonable person [editline]13th May 2017[/editline]
The fact that this is so controversial kind of irks me. Its a baby, babies need to eat, mom gives baby milk from her breasts, babies not hungry anymore and everyone goes on with their lives. We shouldn't be condemning or applauding basic human shit like this.
People only feel the need to applaud it because other people feel the need to condemn it. Usually the condemnation happens first. Ie this thread
There is something called parental leave exactly for things like this.
...Then her job wouldn't get done?
I get people coming in to the cafe I work at all the time and breastfeeding their babies, it doesn't bother me at all (tho I really wish people wouldn't bring babies in to cafes because they're loud as shit and make a mess)
Super unprofessional. Sure breastfeeding in public is alright Bringing kids to work is a bad idea, though.
Portal taught everyone here that.
my take, probably not the best place or time but then she might have been doing it to just make a point
I get why it makes some people uncomfortable but tough shit, its literally the most natural thing a mother can do for a child besides give birth lmao its just a tiddy get over it
Okay, but what if the baby is a foreign spy?
I get why it makes some people uncomfortable but tough shit, its literally the most natural thing a mother can do for a child besides give birth lmao its just a tiddy get over it
You do? I don't get why it makes people uncomfortable. I don't get it whatsoever. And don't be saying anything about suckling sounds, because the only way you're audibly hearing the baby breastfeeding is if your attention is 100% focused on it, and the issue in that situation is with you. The general 'you', not you specifically.
Who the hell takes their baby to work?
Do the Australians not pay their senators enough to pay for babysitters? The government body is the last place you should be taking your bratty infant, no matter what the rule is.
