Any idea will the KitKat OS be available for Xperia Z?
I doubt for quite a while, it doesn't even have 4.3 yet.
Shit. I've got enough money, just not in the bank. I hope it's still in stock tomorrow.
Don't understand the fanboyism. The ui and icons look bad and you guys think Windows looks bad?
tbh we should just attach a professional DSLR to every camera so that everybody is happy.
See, the device looks nice, if they released it without the phone part I would get one. I'm not big on cellphones but I would like having it as a pocket multimedia/wifi device. It seems more open in a sense than my iPod, where I almos feel like Apple is breathing down my neck.
current gen smartphones now have more processing power than my 3 or 4 year old macbook pro thanks apple
2Ghz ARM != 2Ghz x86 The clockspeed is simply how often is does work, what matters is how much work it can do each clock cycle, and ARM is quite far behind x86 in this metric. My Nexus 7 has a 1.5Ghz CPU, but can sometimes take multiple seconds to render a web page, something that never happened even on my old 900Mhz Celeron, etc.
Anyone who has 512 mb RAM in their smartphones, please report if this statement is correct.
Technically 1GB, but I only get ~790MB RAM free in my Samsung Galaxy SII (and this is the beefed up T-Mobile hercules version)
Should of done this instead of wasting space on the screen + wasting space on the bottom for no reason
I'm not very literate on phones here, but since I'm with AT&T now, can I simply pick up the Nexus 5 from the T-Mobile store, stick my AT&T sim in there and just use it? Or do I have to buy the unlocked one from Google Play or something?
You can't just pop the sim in, you have to get the phone unlocked. T-mobile is supposed to be pretty good with handing out network unlock codes though.
If you buy from the Google Play store it will work with any carrier with the networks it has. Meaning T-Mobile also means AT&T
i have a galaxy nexus and i really don't see any point in upgrading
This had better come to the first-gen nexus 7.
Anyone who has 512 mb RAM in their smartphones, please report if this statement is correct.
It's kinda funny, because in late 90's early 2000 a lot of desktops ran with 512mb ram or less. Now we got smartphones with more power then early desktops. Nuts.
Anyone who has 512 mb RAM in their smartphones, please report if this statement is correct.
I have 384GB of RAM in my HTC legend and Android 2.2. It's anything but smooth. [editline]1st November 2013[/editline]
It's kinda funny, because in late 90's early 2000 a lot of desktops ran with 512mb ram or less. I have 384MB in my old Nexus S. It's a slow piece of crap.
Should of done this instead of wasting space on the screen + wasting space on the bottom for no reason
5 inches is a huge-ass screen, so who cares
Anyone who has 512 mb RAM in their smartphones, please report if this statement is correct.
Pity the Galaxy Y has 290MB.
Why does stuff always have to become super expensive when it goes overseas? It's $399 in the US Play Store (which is about €300), and it rumored to cost €459 here. Shit sucks.
i have a galaxy nexus and i really don't see any point in upgrading
Because that phone is slow as hell, and has a terrible screen? I upgraded to a Nexus 4 and the difference was stunning
