lets say you are born with more neurons in the brain (which would be an extreme genetic difference) that just means that you can learn to be stupid faster, because you are not born with information you learn it through your environment. a person that has less neurons but learns true things will still be smarter then someone with more but learns untrue things. also introversion and extroversion is also environmental, thats why pretty girls that get more attention will talk more and you can change from extrovert to introvert in your lifetime if something in your environment changes
It can however decide how fast you will learn though and how well you can remember things., which can make a massive difference in life.
"However, the, subjects were only more likely to have leanings to the left if they were also socially active during adolescence." so conservatives didn't have any friends when they were younger this explains soooo much about facepunch
It can however decide how fast you will learn though and how well you can remember things., which can make a massive difference in life.
but those things would not be by one gene, not to mention environment is the thing that most evolves your brain and in the end that the learning thing is also environment because you would have to be lucky enough to be raised in an environment that has you think logically. Also my example of having more neurons is like i said a very extreme case

However I feel that once science can, they should give everyone the same genetic ability as everyone else. Its not fair that some are just naturally better at things than others.
Memory and thought speed are the two that need to be equalized throughout humanity.
well they both could be trained if you really wanted to improve them
DNA and genes determine everything about you, your thought patterns are one of those things. Thought pattern, experience, and upbringing all have to do with your opinions or political views, and I guess this gene is for thought patterns.
From wikipedia on the D4 dopamine receptor: Mutations in this gene have been associated with various behavioral phenotypes, including autonomic nervous system dysfunction, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder,[5] schizophrenia,[6] the personality trait of novelty seeking,[7] and liberalism.
But Rush Limba is a republican.
Finally we can eliminate it
Hey what the hell!? I just have ADHD.....I'm not liberal or conservative D: [editline]7th November 2010[/editline]
DNA and genes determine everything about you, your thought patterns are one of those things. Genetics may have all the keys, but the different experiences in your life trigger some and negate others.

Is that really what you want?
