why, iirc members of the NoI confessed? good song regardless. [editline]13th September 2011[/editline] NoI is hardly even Islam
People don't have brains for religion.
Look at it this way: 9/11 casualties = ~3000 people Total casualties of 'war on terror (lol, war is terror)' = ~1,000,000 people
"hurf durf we're burning the flag we're making a STATEMENT that'll effect thousands of people huzzah" End result is absolutely nothing.
Well they got the media's attention and people now know they're pissed off. They succeeded in their goals.
Let em burn flags all they want. Why is anyone up in arms about this?
Burning the American flag doesn't mean anything on its own, but when people who establish themselves as our enemies burn it, they're pretty much saying, "FUCK YOU GUYS SO HARD", which people would find highly offensive even if nothing got burned.
Fucking gypsies
Pikeys :eng101:
It is quite an overlooked fact that these people are deemed equally as disgusting by the people who actually follow the humane, non-radicalized and REAL version of Islam. If not more so, because it was the events of 9/11 and the acts of the few ignorant dick heads that shed such a terrible image on a population of about 1.6 billion people. Sad to see, really. [editline]14th September 2011[/editline] Seeing a few messages here saying stuff like 'We should do the same if not worse!' is the logical equivalent of letting redneck psychos represent the entire western world. Please, wise up.
And yet again, muslims extremists don't understand how PR works. It's just making matters worse for how people view their country/religion.
And yet again, muslims extremists don't understand how PR works. It's just making matters worse for how people view their country/religion.
We all feel the same way, I promise. But what can we do about it? (note: I'm an Arab Muslim)
We all feel the same way, I promise. But what can we do about it? (note: I'm an Arab Muslim)
I think the violent tendencies is buried too deep in muslim extremist ways of thinking. some of the old generations way of teaching stuff is also kinda crooked. it'll pass slowly as the years progress, especially after things get to rest in the warzone. if you meet someone that judges you, atleast you have a quick way to sort the idiots out.
I burn flags on the 4th of July. Come at me bro
I burned a flag for 9/11 last year and there were plenty of people who wanted to shoot me for it.
Look at it this way: 9/11 casualties = ~3000 people Total casualties of 'war on terror (lol, war is terror)' = ~1,000,000 people
Casualties for the wars in aghanistan and iraq are more near 250,000-500,000 than a million, that includes servicemen, civilians, and taliban casualties.
The same thing can be said about most religions, and I agree that the old generations way of teaching certain things are fucked up but what I think could be avoided is the American media and its tendency to associate a group of people with problems that only a few are responsible for. If all you saw in the Arabic media was "Christian murders wife" "Christian bombs abortion clinic" "Christian goes on killing spree" you would call it propaganda. Not that it doesn't happen, but it's ridiculous to assume every Christian agrees with the acts. Surely we can assume in both cases that they are done in the name of the religion, but to assume that it happens more often than not with Islam or even more often than with any other religious extremists would be wrong. The illusion is only painted that way with the deliberate targeting by media. But I'll put it in a way that you can see from: After the 9/11 attacks, mosques (houses of worship for muslims) were defaced, vandalized and often attacked. Some even started throwing moltov cocktails and harassing or physically attacking the people that went there to offer prayer; with no sympathy from American news outlets. These were everyday American citizens just as devastated by the attacks as anyone else had; another fun fact for everyone: The south tower actually had a mosque in it and of the deaths were Muslim-Americans. They're just as against us as they are against you, because by rejecting their violent interpretations to Islam we are accused as unworthy hypocrites; false muslims and infidels.

They'll be a shitstorm if they do anything.
Britain is waaaaay overly politically correct. They'll be a shitstorm if they do anything.
or maybe it's because burning flags is completely legal [editline]14th September 2011[/editline] even if it weren't it's a victimless crime
Fucking disrespectful.
no you wont flagshitting is not a protected right only burning
I'll leave a flaming bag of shit on it, then they'll never be able to charge me!
Burn the Quarn, and see how they feel, but then like that CaseofScience guy getting jailed.
what is the quarn you speak of?
Who really cares if they burn our flag? The respectful way to dispose of our nation's flag is burning it... It's far more insulting to just toss the flag onto the ground
