No extra credit when you're late on an assignment here hahaha Dumb ass kids
Considering a large chunk of the protesters are older than you, I'm going to restate my previous post more bluntly so you understand: You're an idiot.
Although you are a complete idiot, that chick is annoying as hell. "you think its funny its funny huh you think its funny???????"
I laughed my ass off. -edit- Darn, looks like the party is over.
Why are private entities allowed to own what is otherwise public space? [editline]14th November 2011[/editline] I cannot even.
Because they bought the property and built a park. They could have built a condo if they wanted, or a tower, but they built a park. Arguing private ownership of land is a whole other story and I won't get into that right now.
stepping away from the computer for a minute, could anyone PM me if anything big happens in the next few minutes?
Well tell me, what would you recommend they do?
Why do you ALWAYS resort to this question? He is simply stating that they don't have a right to be there. Why does that mean he HAS to supply an alternative?
Oh, go fuck yourself.
haha I love how you were all calm and reasonable earlier, and that's slowly been whittled away by the absurdly stupid comments hoodoo456 how about you fucking post for once and share your stupid opinion with the rest of us
haha I love how you were all calm and reasonable earlier, and that's slowly been whittled away by the absurdly stupid comments hoodoo456 how about you fucking post for once and share your stupid opinion with the rest of us
He can't do that, it would require him to use his brain, and all it's good for is clicking the pretty brown squares
Why do you ALWAYS resort to this question? He is simply stating that they don't have a right to be there. Why does that mean he HAS to supply an alternative?
Well yes, there does have to be an alternative. We have a constitutional right to protest, are you just going to say, look at the protesters and go "Sorry there's no place for you here"?
No extra credit when you're late on an assignment here hahaha Dumb ass kids
could someone explain what this means? went right over my head
haha I love how you were all calm and reasonable earlier, and that's slowly been whittled away by the absurdly stupid comments
No, I over-reacted is all. I won't deny the absurdity of it, though.
Save your breath. [editline]15th November 2011[/editline] Can only follow the thread on my phone stream won't load properly. If something crazy happened I can exactly go back it is a "live" stream after all. are you serious

"they are breaking everythinggg" "they are breaking and destroyinggg, uuugh" "fuuuuuck youuuuu!" You we're warned dumb ass squatters. Pack up n pack out when they tell you, not waiting till last minute, or they'll do it for you, their way.
I have no idea how you managed to operate the computer seeing as how you're obviously a crotchety old man
This is just sad. Private property? Where has it ever been a public place for people to demonstrate?
Well yes, there does have to be an alternative. We have a constitutional right to protest, are you just going to say, look at the protesters and go "Sorry there's no place for you here"?
We had this same exact conversation a month ago. If you still think this is a constitutional issue then you know nothing about the constitution and you should probably stop posting in this thread.

We have a constitutional right to protest, are you just going to say, look at the protesters and go "Sorry there's no place for you here"?
Not my job to come up with one. Pick a city owned public park (which would bring up the issue of curfew) or don't complain when you get kicked out of a private one. That is all. Either way the protest would be unlawful so whatever. I'm just nitpicking over laws and technicalities.
A think a good outcome of this would be a New York general strike, like Oakland had I believe it would be the first time in American history that two general strikes happened concurrently
We had this same exact conversation a month ago. How could I have forgotten?
Not my job to come up with one. Pick a city owned public park or don't complain when you get kicked out of a private one. That is all.
City owned is actually a very good idea They should barricade themselves in city hall and block streets off, that's all city owned right
Oh yes, my bad, I don't know anything about the constitution. How could I have forgotten?
I'm glad you've come to terms with it. I was worried.
City owned is actually a very good idea They should barricade themselves in city hall and block streets off, that's all city owned right
Occupy Sewers 2011
I'm glad you've come to terms with it. I was worried.
So what is your position, then?
I can't say I'm surprised. But I can say I don't believe OCW is "peaceful"
Bringing this back to you because one can actually argue with you Tinos just hemorrhages his idiocy into the keyboard to the internet, and Hoodoo is a mute you agreed that the American revolution wasn't peaceful yet (I presume) you feel the American revolution was a good thing, so obviously domestic protests which are not peaceful can be good Do you agree that the massive bailout spending by bush and then obama was wrong? caused in part (I figure you'll disagree with this, but you can't deny it played some part) by the massive deregulation of the finance and banking sector, and bad corporate practices especially RE: risk assessment shouldn't these people be accountable in some way, even if only due to their negligence?
City owned is actually a very good idea They should barricade themselves in city hall and block streets off, that's all city owned right
Storming City hall would be some interesting news coverage. But the protesters are too peaceful to do that. Which is why we won't ever see protests like we saw in the middle east. We just don't have the guts to face our opposition with the same force they're meeting us with.
Occupy Sewers 2011
dump cement into them
Oh yes, my bad, I don't know anything about the constitution. How could I have forgotten?
You may know a little, but maybe you should have bookmarked it. I believe this is what you're refferring to?
Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html#Am1 The Wall Street Occupiers became unpeaceful long ago.
