now do me a favor and compare those 3 articles to the London riot or the Vancouver Stanley cup riot this year.

do a better favour and compare it to the amount of police brutality cases glaber
the only violent group at these protests is the cops - they start beating people with no provocation and when the public resists the police say "SEE THEY DESERVED IT THEY'RE VIOLENT!"

One guy pushed a paramedic into a ladder.

I've seen multiple news personalities cover this Panini's and say "these protesters are unlawful", again this article paints an incredibly ridiculous caricature.

An NYPD Officer being derisive about a protest movement the police wants gone? Colour me surprised!
But no yeah, I'm sure anyone who attempts to speak with or come in contact with the protesters will be randomly assaulted. Sure.
If it wasn't for the fact that these guys were on private property, they've done nothing wrong here.
They're doing it at 2AM and blocking out the media for a reason - they know there are going to be cops doing all sorts of illegal things and they don't want anyone to see it.
Or simply because it's the most efficient time to clean it up?
Either they're gonna be asleep or just resting, they won't expect it coming, surprise is greater, getting rid of them is easier.
main feed down

then explain the media lockout
they blocked the airspace over the city so no choppers can film, and they surrounded the park so no media can get in and no (good) footage can get out
this is designed to be a clandestine operation, the cops aren't accountable to anyone if the media can't be there
"they are breaking everythinggg"

"fuuuuuck youuuuu!"
You we're warned dumb ass squatters. Pack up n pack out when they tell you, not waiting till last minute, or they'll do it for you, their way.
Wow, you really are retarded.
Sounds like a fucking military assault.
of course it needs military precision
those protesters are armed with plastic butter knives and sleeping bags
I've been preaching peace and love and all that shit since this started. But at this moment, I'd not give a damn if they went fucking berserk on the police.

That I didn't know about.
And for all we know, the surrounding of the park could be to keep the whole thing contained and to prevent the masses escaping.
Not trying to picture the police as the heroes here but why does the Occupy movement (or its supporters at least) always seem to assume that every action is done for the sole purpose of those goshdurn fascist pigs oppressing the poor innocent working man?
One day I'm going to wake up and hear in the news that a revolution has started. There's no doubt that this will get violent before it ends. They've stayed peaceful for this long, but I'm not sure how much they can stay this way with the police doing all this shit.

Yeah, I'm extremely impressed that things haven't gotten crazy. Very proud.

Hell, THAT ONE is a corporate caterer. You can't actually find a non-conflict of interest source for any of this shit.

Like I said, confirmation bias. If I'm wrong, I'd be glad to see it.
gee SURE IS CONVENIENT they do this at 2 in the morning and block off any and all media.
i have faith these upstanding officers of the law won't do anything illegal no siree.
trains and bridges are now shut down.

Which is kinda a horrible goshdarn facist pig etc. tactic. You don't pen crowds in to areas when using force on them if the point is making the crowd disperse- a crowd naturally disperses a bit when force is used on it, so trying to surround it will only:
-Increase likelihood of injury (stampede factors as it tries to flux from the force and can't)
-Increase number of arrests
Neither of which are legitimate concerns if you're trying to clear an area.

A new York Times reporter has been reported as being arrested, here is his twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/jmalsin
I showed this to my girlfriend. She's crying.
People are about to get tear gassed by the NYPD and people are telling each other to wear their gas masks and get ready to apply first aid.
Dystopia GO
trains and bridges are now shut down.
There we go, I wasn't the only one who saw that.
Cops just threw tear gas into the kitchen

Dystopia GO
They already are being tear gassed.
Seriously, what were they trying to accomplish? What do they hope to gain by doing this? All that will come from this is a violent response. You cannot keep pushing someone around and abusing them and expect them to just take it. There will come a time when they will push back.

On the other hand, containing them within an area makes it easier to arrest them if any trouble should arise. You can argue for both sides equally.

Okay, now that's just weird.
Well this is interesting

Tear gas video.
€dit: at least it looks like it.
Sigh...
Using banned military tactics is totally the way to treat your concerned citizens of your own country.
Start a revolution and I'll gladly put my effort into it.

In my opinion they WANT that push back. If protestors get violent they can "write them off as violent criminals or the like", but thats not how I see that playing out. These protestors have put up with a lot, if they get violent things will get BAD.
Also police have just put out a call for bolt cutters on there radio.
