It's a show on Fox where they group a bunch of stereotypes together and they sing modern pop covers of classic songs and whatever they feel like and add a ton of auto tune and shit to it.

Terrible show.

Well, I have heard of it. But the trailers I have seen from it make it sound like some reality show and I hear people going around saying "YOU HERD WHAT HAPPENED ON GLE LAST NITE?" but then they release a bunch of music for people to buy and i'm not really 100% sure what it is at this point.

When Jonathan Coulton does a cover, he buys a license from the song creator, because he releases them as singles.

u dont have to copyright your work.

as soon as you write it, it is automatically copyrighted. no lawyer is needed. all you have to do is prove that your work was written before the infringing work, which is pretty straight forward in this case since coulton's cover of baby got back is older than glee.

Here's a laydown of info;
-Apparently they did the same thing with, "Girls Just wanna have Fun," but I doubt it was on the same scale of bullshitness.
-There is a "karaoke" version of Coulton's cover on his website that they might have been used to make this
-Apart from the "Johnny C" reference, there was a duck quack in Coulton's version that sounds like they EQ'd the shit out of, its pretty low.
-Coulton's thoughts were once not sure when it first came out, due to a weird unoffical wiki entry (later found out to be derived from his twitter) and asking audiophiles to compare the two tracks. Bit too late, honestly.

Overall, they are pretty low stooping to this level.

no but there's the gay kid that's super flamboyant and then the gay kid who's actor isn't really gay and is just very fashionable and then there was a gay character who tried to kill himself so yeah

I know I'm going to get rated dumb and all for watching the show and I really don't believe what they did here was good at all, they should have to compensate Jonathan. But the show handled the suicide very well and actually had a very serious message in it throughout the second series about the effects of bullying and how serious it can get at times.

Just, what I'm trying to say is.. Not all of Glee is bad, sure it has some really cheesy shit in but some of the singers on the show are extremely talented and some of the writers are actually very good.
