What a childishly optimistic view on the world. I'd be personally offended as a musician if my cover was completely stolen from me and reproduced without my permission, and to even smash on my integrity even more, they covered an acoustic cover with Autotune.

I know nobody here watches glee but according to youtube comments (not the most reliable source of information in the world but whatever) they mention in the show that this version was arranged by j Jonathan Coulton, which explains at least why they left the line "Johnny C's in trouble" line in it, whatever about the rest of it.

Plus they didn't even ask him if it was okay or even credit him aside from leaving "Johnny C" in the lyrics, which is pretty rude regardless of the legality of it all.

It's a bit smaller than the original, and the artist signature is nowhere to be found, which is great because they will be making mad bank because they're glee and people eat that shit up without even caring. We've already seen examples of people actually saying Coulton should just feel honored that glee did his song "better", which as an artist is probably the shittiest insult to your talent, aspirations, and genuine hard work.
